The reason Keisley was not swayed by his mother’s words is because they don’t have a strong bond. When both he and Kyle were young, they thought that their mother was so busy. Kyle knows from the start that his mother isn’t the same as the other mother. However, it wasn’t for Keisley. When Keisley was young, he wanted his mother to look at him. However, she never did. It happened not only once, twice, or multiple times. In the end, Keisley gave up.

When he was finally able to understand everything, Keisley finally knew. His mother did not look to him just because she was busy at work but because she was busy acting like a single woman. She partied everywhere; she was always with her friends; she always played in the casino; she was always out of the house; she was always busy acting spoiled. She never even thinks about her own son.

With no emotional relations and a strong bond between sons and mother, Lilia has no idea how she could pull her sons to her sides. She doesn’t want them to get along with Sherly, but she doesn’t know what to do. Even though she knows their names, age, and birthday, she knows nothing more than that. This made her pissed a little.

‘If it weren’t for that bitch, this wouldn't happen. That’s right, this is all her fault! ’ she thought.

When Keisley appeared in front of Sherly’s door, he knocked three times. Not long after that, the door swung open, revealing Sherly. “Hmm? Big brother, Keisley? I thought you were going to Dad’s office. What brings you here?” she inquired with her expression of curiosity.

Keisley smiled at his sister. He thought that his sister was so lovely that it was all worthy of her being by their side. “Dad wants to see you. I don’t think he wanted to see you. He didn’t go into details, but I think it’s important.”

Sherly raised an eyebrow. She had never been in her father’s office. If this is really the truth, then it was her first time visiting. “Alright, let’s get this over with. Lead the way, big brother Keis.”

Spotting Lilia still in the hallway, Keisley’s expression hardened once again. He didn’t know why his mother was still there, but he sternly looked at her. “What you said to Sherly was uncalled for, and I won't stand by while you try to tear this family apart. Even though you hated her, you must accept her.”

Lilia, trying to downplay the situation, replied, “It’s none of your business, Keisley. Stay out of it, okay?”

“Sherly is family, whether you like it or not. You’ve crossed a line already, Mom. If you don’t change your attitude towards Sherly, I won't hesitate to tell Dad everything.”

Lilia’s eyes widened with surprise. “You wouldn’t dare!” she yelled.

Keisley’s gaze was still the same. It was unwavering and determined. “Try me, Mom. Dad will do everything to make you apologize on Sherly’s knees if this happens to reach his ears. Don’t try to play a trick on me, Mom. I know everything.”

Lilia’s eyes narrowed with disapproval. “I can't believe you’re taking that bitch side—”

“Careful, Mom. She had her name.”

“Fuck! You’re being unfilial! Why are you protecting her, huh? She’s the one who ruined our family!”

Keilsey snorted. “Our family? Mom, from the very start that you gave birth to me, didn’t you give up this family already? We only think of you as a family, but you didn’t. So, please, don’t go and call us your family when you don’t even mean it.”

Lilia pointed her finger at Sherly. “But she’s an outsider!”

“She isn’t, Mom! For fucks sake! She isn’t. She came from Dad’s sperm. Even though she isn’t from your cell, she is still your father’s child. Stop being mean and unreasonable, Mom. This will be your last warning.”

With that, both Keisley and Sherly left the Montenegro villa.

In the car, Sherly looked at her brother. “Was it okay?”

Keisley looked at his sister, and his eyes were still the same. Soft and loving, full of playful light. “Okay with what?” he asked innocently.

Sherly leaned back and then crossed her arms. “Hmm? Why are you playing innocently?”

Keisley laughed. “It’s really okay. If you're not going to hit a nail on her head, he won't be able to understand everything. Besides, it was her fault; why is she putting all the blame on you?”

She shrugged her shoulders. “Well, you know her. Even if you hit the spot, she’ll still think that it was my fault.”

Keisley's eyes softened even more. “Don’t worry, sis, I won't let her do something like that again.”

With those words, Sherly and Keisley smiled at each other.

For Sherly, the best thing she did in her life was accept this family again. When she was young, all she had was suffering. She longed for a family figure, a daddy figure. That’s the reason she keeps appearing in her best friend’s family. She was loved in her best friend’s family; she had a sister, a mother, a grandmother, a sister-in-law, a nephew, and a brother. Thus, when she left that life, she took that family with her.

She gave them a little better life. It wasn’t as good as her life right now, but it wasn’t like before.

“When did it start?” Keisley asked her while driving.

“Hmm? Start what?”

“And now you’re the one playing like an innocent?”

Sherly smirked at his brother. “Well, it started when I first came to this house. You know, when you, your father, and your big brother Kyle went out for an emergency? There’s only me and Lilia at the house. And that is where it started.”

Kyle looked at his sister. “That long? Why didn’t you tell me?”

Sherly shrugged. “Well, it doesn’t matter anyway, right?”

Kyle only looked at his sister and sighed.

“Was the reason you left the house because you didn’t want to deal with my mom?”

Sherly acted like she was surprised. “What? How did you know?”

“It’s real?”

Sherly laughed. “Alright, it was real. I indeed left the house because of her. I don’t want to deal with her, and I don’t want to hear her voice. Sorry, brother Keis, but I don’t really want to see her.”

“It’s fine.”

When they arrived at his father’s office, she couldn’t believe it. No one is at the building anymore. After all, it’s already late. The sun set a long time ago, the employees had gone home, and there’s only her father and secretary left. Of course, there is a security guard as well.

They were welcomed by their father’s secretary, and when they arrived inside the office, they started to talk about a lot of things. At first, it was all about politics, the economy, and projects. If you’re someone who has no interest in or knowledge of these subjects, you’ll surely not be able to understand and follow their talks. However, it wasn’t the case for Sherly.

Sherly knows everything because of her own job in the underworld. Thus, her own insight is much more deep and important than that of her brother. She only spouted a few since she didn’t want to be like her father. Thus, when she said some key words, her brother caught it.

This ended after three hours, and they had dinner together with Kyle, who had just left the house. They had dinner at the hospital without Lilia.

After indicating everything that she needed to send to her father, she smiled, and she did not hesitate to send it to her father's email. Of course, she used her own underworld email. After all, it was more secure, and besides, she doesn't want to pose any danger to her father.Sherly's phone rang, and she saw her father's name on the caller's ID. Answering with a smile, she listened as he questioned how she obtained the information. Wow, how fast was her father contacting her? Maybe her father is waiting for her email. With a playful tone, Sherly replied, "Dad, a magician never reveals her secrets."Her teasing is different, so all that her father could do was chuckle, but his curiosity lingered. Sherly relented, explaining that it was a trade secret and leaving it at that. However, she quickly shifted the conversation to her strategy. Excitedly, she outlined her plan to set a trap for Joseph Santos. She explained everything to her father after she read that information. "All those
