Something’s going on, I can feel it.

The awkward silence between the Alphas around the dining table is unusual. Also, Calvin is here. Well, Calvin usually drops by for dinner, but there was something in the air that I am not used to.

‘Did something happen?’ I asked Nikki through a mind link.

‘You feel it too?’ Nikki asked back.

‘What do you mean?’ I asked.

‘Something is up with the four of them,’ Nikki replied.

‘Yeah,’ I answered, ‘Something is definitely up. Can you feel how over the edge they are? Has Leon told you anything?’

‘Nope,’ Nikki replied, ‘I just hope that they are not causing any trouble.’

I took a deep breath and looked at the four Alphas once again.

“Whatever it is that you want to know, you all know that all you need to do is ask,” I said as sweetly as I could.

I heard Drake sigh and saw him run his hand through his hair. Something he usually does when he’s frustrated and when his frustrations concern me.
