How much more twisted can a story go? How many of the stories of truth we were told were actually lies?

I ran my hand through my hair with frustrations running in my veins.

“I’m sorry Alpha,” Athena’s Aunt said regretfully.

I looked at her and then at Aunt Connie. I realize that Aunt Connie didn’t know these things until now.

“Athena’s Au—” I stopped midway in calling Athena’s Aunt, as I don’t know what to call her.

“You can call me Jess, Alpha,” she said with a smile.

I looked at Athena’s aunt and I couldn’t help but feel a mixture of guilt, sadness, and anger after finding out what happened to her and her family. Only a monster won’t be able to feel the way I feel especially when the cause of such tragedy is someone from your own blood. And for me, that would be my grandfather. The main reason for Athena’s family is my grandfather’s hunger for power and money and for that I can’t forgive him. Now I understand Athena’s strong urge of saving people despite the danger she puts her

nope. sorry, Venus is not a good person. she made things worse by erasing memories and messing with fated bonds. after reading the second book and coming back to reread this one I have a completely different view on the whole thing
