IRA

I struggled to breathe from the chokehold of the Rogue king. Every time I tried to free myself, he held me even tighter, hurting me the more.

I could barely hold myself up as a result of how weak I felt from my ordeal. Whatever it is that they had in those shots made me feel weak and groggy.

I couldn't defend myself, neither could I speak, until Dexter showed up with the others. Having Dexter around made me feel slightly better.

And when the others came too, my coherence improved, and their presence suppressed the pain.

However, the process was painfully slow, as I still was no match for my captor, who was now using me as bait.

“We meet at last… little brother,” the Rogue king said to Eros, causing the already humid atmosphere to drop a lot lower.

“It’s such a pity that our disgrace of a father did not teach you basic respect for elders.”

“You are no brother of ours,” Dexter seethed. “Let her go, and we might consider sparing your life.”

“Spoken like the foolish one you are,” the

CHAPTER 148 – EROSShe was so beautiful. My heart throbbed as I stared at my mate, being led into the garden by some maidens.Lucius stepped forward, taking her by the arm and dismissing the others before finally leading her back to us.“What’s going on?” she asked, looking between us with an awed expression.“It was about time we had breakfast together,” Dexter said, somehow managing to keep still. “I miss you.”I watched Ira’s face visibly soften at my brother’s words. Their connection was something I knew I’d always be jealous of.“Shall we?” I said, stepping closer and placing a chaste kiss on her cheek, taking in a deep breath of her scent.Ira swallowed, her heart racing. I could tell she was affected by our presence, and I liked to think my little kiss gave it all away.At her nod, Lucius called for the witch, and soon enough, a portal appeared before us.“Where are we going?” Ira asked as soon as she recognized it. “What are you up to?”“Do you trust us?” Lucius asked, taking

IRATurned out that their suspicion panned out. I was indeed a siphoner. My mates took it upon themselves to find out for a truth if the theories spun were truly my case a few days ago.For the first time since I returned from that hellhole, I was let out of bed and onto the field where some elementals and witches were brought to test my abilities.Surprisingly, as soon as I stepped into the field, I felt a buzz of energy through me, and Khanos raised her head, charged by the bolts of energy that ran through us.I channeled my mind to that energy and directed it towards a bush filled with trees, and before I could say a word, a large fire engulfed the bush, razing down a good number of trees. We also found out that my gift had different expressions, depending on the abilities I was able to tap into. While it was exciting to finally understand myself, it came with a lot of responsibility. If there was one thing I'd learned from the experience these past few weeks, it was just how disas

DEXTERIra wore a long face as the witch checked her vitals for the nth time this week.“Tell them I am alright,” she moaned, desperate to get out of bed. “Tell them I'm fine already. It's been ten days.”The witch wore a light look on her face as she turned to us, affirming what my mate had been trying to say since she woke up from her near-death experience.“The Luna seems to be in great condition,” the witch said, taking a bow. “Other than her innate need to get out of bed, I believe she is fine.”I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, and so did Eros, who took Ira's hand, placing a kiss on her fingers.I'd never seen him so affectionate with anyone, and while a part of me felt greedy to share her with him, the recent events have proven that I needed to learn to share. After our attack on the rogue camp and the rogue king's death, Ira was brought home almost lifeless. While the witches and elementals tried their best to keep her body in stable condition and revive her, we

EROSThe portal took us straight to the rogue camp. With the help of the witches, we were able to come in with half the army. The rest of them were scheduled to follow after with the elementals to avoid mishaps. For some reason, we arrived in what I believed to be a gathering of rogues in their numbers. The stench of the filthy animals formed a cloud in the air, and I immediately unleashed my gift on the crowd, starting with a huge bolt of fire that charged through the crowd and marked the beginning of a war I intended to win.For the first time ever, we caught them unaware, which placed us at a vantage position—one which I intended to milk in every possible way.Chaos ensued as the fight progressed, leading to more deaths of the filthy beasts. While I roasted the rogues in their hundred, I searched the entire environment, looking for my mate.Despite the stench of blood and filth that filled the air, my wolf could pick up on faint trails of Ira, which made me believe we were close to

IRAI broke free from the chains in one second, and an earth-shattering growl escaped my lips as I shot into the air, shifting into my wolf."Shut the gates!" The Lycan king roared as soon as I touched ground. "Secure the parameters!" He ordered and proceeded to shift into a dark midnight wolf with claw marks in his eyes."Die." I growled via mindlink, attacking him with all my might. The rogue king went right to defense, dodging my hits and attacking with more powerful ones of his own."I don't want to hurt you." He gritted when I pounced on him, making to go for his neck when he toppled me over."We are the same kind." He seethed. "We shouldn't be fighting.""You killed my mother." I shot back. "We have nothing in common." I responded, toppling him over right in the prison until I had him by the neck."Do not force my hand, little lycan." He roared, fighting me off. "I'd hate to kill you too.""Just like you did my mother." I snarled, finishing it up for him, and intensifying my att
