He’d been barely holding on since Ember has been kidnapped, but he was so close to losing all control and going feral when he felt her being slapped. Somehow his father seemed to know how close he was to losing control and kept him within the palace walls with Leo babysitting him.
Leo didn’t seem to be feeling much better than he was, so really it was the blind leading the blind at this point. It helped that he was doing something to feel like he was getting closer to finding Ember, but it still felt like they were impossibly far from finding her.
Right now, they were going through CCTV footage in a bid to find the car that was still MIA. Somehow the bastard had disconnected the tracking device and he was in the wind. He had the horrible feeling that the bastard was just two steps ahead of them every time they found something.
