Chapter 13 Now What?

They arrived at her dad's clubhouse. Jess was asleep so Ryder picked her up and carried her to his room. He left her car packed until she decided what she wanted to do. He pulled the covers back and laid her down on his bed, then stripped to his briefs, then climbed in behind her. She snuggled into him and he wrapped his arms around her.

"Axel. I love you." Jess sighed.

"Sleep baby, I got you." Ryder whispered.

He wrapped her tighter in his arms and soon he too fell asleep. The next morning Jess woke with a headache. Ryder is lying in bed next to her still asleep. It's only a little after 6am.

"Why couldn't I have fallen in love with you? My life would be so much easier." Jess whispered.
