Chapter 16
Eric-
I was over the moon with Leilani agreeing to the contract. After talking to Tate, I let him, and Brook go to bed. I, however, couldn’t seem to get to sleep.
It didn’t help that my mate, whom I was growing very attached to in just a short time, was just down the hall. Instead of tossing and turning, as I have been for the past hour, I quietly got out of bed. As quiet as I could, I left my room.
When my eyes fell on her open door, my feet decided to walk towards her room. I suppose if I really wanted to, I could stop them, except I didn’t want to. Reaching her room, I peeked inside.
Her curtains were open, allowing the waning moon to illuminate her room. She was laying on her side, with her body curled up and her face pointing towards the door. Her face kept crinkling occasionally as if she were having a bad dream.

Leilani-It was nearly six o’clock at night when Eric woke up. By the time we got everything ready to go, it was just after seven. Eric explained we were taking his car, while a couple of warriors were taking another vehicle.I didn’t know much about vehicles, but I had never seen one like the one we were sitting in now. Eric seemed to buzz with excitement when the car started. Eric-Walking into the hotel lobby with Leilani, I noticed that she seemed distracted by something. I wanted to ask her what was wrong, but I didn’t want the receptionist to over here anything.
