Chapter 11

Brooklyn-

I stood out in the hall like a statue for nearly an hour after he left. I never caught his name, not that I think he even said what it was. All I knew was if he wanted to make me rethink coming here, he did a damn good job. This was exactly what I had been afraid of.

Who ever he was, his words had washed over me like ice water. As long as I stay, I should be fine, or at least I hope. His warning was if I should leave, but the urge to flee was very real and very strong. How far would I even make it if I did leave?

Do I stay and risk dealing with him and hope as long as I do stay he leaves me alone? Or do I make a run for it and just pray to the Goddess that his threat was just an empty promise, trying to scare me? Then again, I have been praying to the Moon Goddess my entire life, she has never answered a single prayer. What makes me think she would answer me now?
