CHAPTER 37~ SUCH A CALAMITY

Sathe looked down at his bloody body with a sick smile on his lips. He didn’t know why, but the fact that the blood on his bare skin was for once not his gave him a sense of superiority.

The voice was rumbling in his head, dark and alluring, nothing he was afraid of, and the dead bodies he stepped on as he walked out of a havoc he created pleased him greatly.

He felt powerful…like a monster…a beast…but wasn’t that what he was?

Sathe’s smile grew even wider, his eyes drifting towards a fae who was pitifully trying to crawl away. Her body was soaked in the blood that fed the earth, her heavy breaths the only thing that dragged on into the night.

He walked over to her, pressing his foot into her back. “And where do you think you’re going?”

“Please…I beg you…d-don’t kill me.”

A chuckle, one with not an ounce of humour drifted up his throat. “Please…? Should I really not kill you? Beg some more and I’ll consider leaving you alive.”
