Mag-log inKiera’s pov
My hands gripped the steering wheel so tightly my knuckles turned white. I didn’t even remember leaving the pack office. One second I had been standing outside that door, , and the next—I was here. Driving, running and escaping from the horror that was my life. My vision blurred again, but this time it wasn’t from speed. It was from the tears that refused to stop pouring ever since I caught the only man I had ever loved having sex with my younger sister. She was my half sister, yes but I had always treated her like my own flesh and blood ever since my father brought her home. So how could she do this to me?! Alice… My little sister. She was the same little girl I had protected and loved ever since her mother abandoned her and ran away with another man! My father was going to send her away but I begged him not to, because I didn’t want her to suffer in the hands of some stranger so I pleaded with him to let her stay with me. “…And after everything Alice?” I cried and a broken laugh escaped me. “And Rafael…” My husband. The man who had looked into my eyes and told me I was his forever. The man who had made me believe I was enough for him. The man who had been lying to me the entire time. A tear slipped down my cheek, then another, until I could barely see the road ahead. I blinked hard, trying to steady myself, but it was useless. My thoughts were spiraling, crashing into each other, dragging me deeper and deeper into something dark and suffocating. My father’s voice suddenly echoed faintly in my mind. “You’re moving too fast with the wedding, Kiera. You don’t know Rafael well enough.” I tightened my grip on the wheel, my jaw clenching. “I thought I did,” I whispered, my voice cracking. “I thought I knew him…” But I hadn’t. I had been blind and desperate, because before Rafael… no one had ever looked at me like that. No one had ever chosen me. Alice had always been the beautiful one. The one people noticed everywhere. The one who got compliments, attention and admiration. But me? I had just been… the other sister. The Alpha’s useless, wolfless daughter… yes. That was all anyone ever saw. That was all I would ever be. The weight of it crushed me all over again until it was suffocating and unbearable. Before I realized what I was doing, my hand slammed against the steering wheel and a loud honk split the air. “Damn it!” I cried out, my voice breaking as I hit it again. “Damn it! Damn it!” The car swerved slightly, but I quickly corrected it. “I hate you…” I choked out, tears streaming down my face. “I hate you both…” But even as I said it, the pain didn’t lessen. If anything, it got worse. Because hate couldn’t erase what they had done and it definitely couldn’t save me now. “I want to destroy you…” I whispered through the tears. “I want to fucking ruin you… both of you…” But how? The question hit me like a wall. How would I do that? Rafael had already won. He had planned everything carefully and stupid me had walked right into it. I had rushed my father to sign the papers and I pushed the council to approve them. Everything was already in motion and I had no idea how to stop it. My chest tightened painfully again, my grip on the wheel loosening slightly as exhaustion began to creep on me. But suddenly— My phone rang and the sound startled me in the quiet car. I flinched before my eyes flicked toward the screen and I saw that it was Susan. My best friend. For a second, I just stared at her name flashing across the screen. I didn’t reach for it at first, because if I answered… and If I opened my mouth… all the ways I had just fucked up would spill out. And I wasn’t ready to say it out loud and make it real so the phone kept ringing. It rang Once, twice, Three times, then I let out a shaky breath before finally reaching for it. “Hey…” I said quickly, forcing my voice to sound normal. “What’s up?” There was a pause. Then “Kiera?” Susan’s voice came through. “Is something wrong? You sound off.” My throat tightened instantly. “Nothing,” I said, too fast. “Why would anything be wrong?” “Don’t do that,” she replied immediately. “I know you. Something’s off. Where are you?” I swallowed hard. “I’m just… driving,” I said, trying to sound casual. “Clearing my head.” “Kiera,” she said more firmly. “Talk to me. Did something happen?” My lips parted. The words sat there, right at the edge, threatening to spill out. He’s cheating on me…With my sister. And they are about to take everything I own and love. But I couldn’t say it. I just couldn’t. “I’m fine,” I insisted. “Really.” “Liar,” Susan said bluntly. A shaky breath left me. “I’m serious,” I tried again, but it came out unconvincing even to my own ears. “Come over,” she said immediately. “Right now.” “I—” I hesitated. “Kiera,” she cut in. “Please. You don’t sound okay.” My grip on the wheel tightened again as I considered my options. I couldn’t go home, because If I saw Rafael— If I even looked at him— I would break. And if I broke and said something I shouldn’t…then He might find out about the signed papers. And then it would truly be over for me. I exhaled slowly. “…Okay,” I said quietly. “Good,” Susan replied with relief in her voice. “I’m home. Just come straight here, alright?” “Alright.” “Drive safe.” “I will.” I hung up, staring at the road ahead for a second before slowly turning the wheel. The car shifted direction, away from home and toward Susan and I drove in silence for a while, But then my phone buzzed again. I glanced at the screen and my heart instantly dropped. It was Rafael. For a moment, I considered ignoring it, but something made me pick it up and my fingers trembled slightly as I opened the message. “Hey sweetheart, have you gotten the papers from your father yet?” My stomach twisted then another message came in. “I miss you so much Kiera.” Then another. “I love you.” And finally— “Come back soon.” I stared at the screen and my mind went completely blank. For a second, I couldn’t even process it. Then a broken laugh escaped me. “Wow…” I whispered. My hands tightened around the phone, so tightly it almost hurt. “I love you?” I repeated softly. Tears slipped down my face again, but this time… they felt different. I felt Colder and angrier. “Fucking Liar,” I whispered. And something shifted inside me in that moment … the pain was still there but it wasn’t the only thing anymore. Because under it…Something darker was rising.Something colder and more vengeful. My tears slowly stopped as I stared at his messages. “You just want the papers…” I murmured, and my grip tightened. “You want to take everything…” My gaze hardened as the last of my tears dried. “Fine.” A dangerous calm settled over me. “You can bring your worst on, but you’re not getting anything.” My reflection stared back at me from the screen. It was the same face, same eyes but something in them had changed. For the first time in my life, I wasn’t just heartbroken. I was fucking furious and I was ready. Ready to hurt them back and very ready to completely and utterly destroy them.KieraThe night after the whole magical blast, the morning light cut through my chamber window like a cold knife, but I barely felt it. My body was still trembling, the memory of the crackling silver-blue energy dancing across my fingertips burning behind my closed eyelids.I sat at the edge of my bed, staring blankly at the scorched, splintered remains of the bedside table where my accidental blast had torn wood apart just hours earlier. The royal guards had left, but the heavy, suffocating weight of what I had done hung thick in the air.A sharp knock at the door made me jump."Kiera? Open up, it's us," Susan’s voice whispered urgently through the wood.I hurried across the room and unlocked the door, pulling Susan and Elara inside before quickly slamming and bolting it shut behind them."Goodness, Kiera, what is wrong with you? You look like you've seen a ghost," Elara gasped, her wide eyes darting to the broken table and the water-soaked floor. "What happened in here last night?
Kiera"Open the door! Royal guard! State your emergency!" a gruff voice roared from the hallway.Oh fuck! The guards heard what I did.Panic clawed at my chest. If the guards came in and saw the splintered table and smelled the unmistakable scent of forbidden magic, they would realize that I was practicing forbidden magic which would prove a connection the last attackers who used magic and I would be dragged to the dungeons before sunrise. And I could not afford to let that happen.I quickly leaped to my feet, waving my hands frantically to fan away the smoke. I stomped out the glowing ember on the broken wood with my boot. The pounding on the door grew harder. "Lady Kiera! Open this door immediately or we will break it down!""I'm coming!" I shouted back, my voice cracking.I grabbed a heavy ceramic water pitcher from my washstand, lifted it high, and purposely smashed it onto the stone floor, letting water spill everywhere. Then I threw the deadbolt and yanked the heavy door open.T
KieraAfter Damian’s confession, my boots crunched softly against the frozen dirt of the eastern courtyard as I hurried back toward the palace. Every shadow looked like a trap. Every gust of wind sounded like a whisper calling my name.My mind was a chaotic, spinning storm of absolute madness.I was in Denial, because It had to be a lie. Damian was just playing a cruel game to turn me against Alistair. Alistair was kind to me. He protected me from Raphael, he respected my boundaries, and his touch made me feel safe.I felt Distrust, because what if Damian was telling the truth? What if the gentleness was just a mask? What if Alistair really did murder Lady Lenora, use forbidden blood magic, and hunt down women who tried to escape him?Doubt and Fear. The images of the missing women, the fact that someone in the palace had been spying on me for years before this, and Lenora's tragic fate played on a loop in my head. If Damian's warnings were real, I wasn't just in danger… I was literal
Kiera "Bingo," Damian said bitterly. "The original attackers who were asking about you weren't sent by random enemies. They were Lady Lenora's surviving relatives. They fled this kingdom years ago after her death, and they came back for one reason only: because they are convinced that Alistair murdered her and for some reason… they think its somehow connected to you.""They think he murdered her? His own mate?" I shook my head violently, backing away a step. "That's insane! Alistair wouldn't… he's the King and she is his beloved mate—""Is he?" Damian interrupted, stepping closer, his violet eyes burning with intense, painful emotion. "Do you even know who Lenora really was, Kiera? She wasn't just a normal werewolf from some stray pack.""What do you mean?""Lenora was a seer," Damian said, his voice dropping to a harsh whisper. "She came from an ancient, rare bloodline of seers gifted with powerful, unearthly visions of the future in her dreams. She could see what was coming before
Kiera That evening, I hurried straight to Alistair’s private study because I couldn't hold it in anymore. The terror and confusion were choking me.When I pushed the heavy door open, Alistair looked up from a stack of battle maps. He took one look at my pale face, stood up instantly, and crossed the room in two long strides."Kiera? What happened? Who hurt you?" he demanded, his hands gripping my shoulders. His golden eyes flared with instant, protective rage."It's Malakor," I sobbed quietly, the tears finally spilling over. I let myself lean into his chest, burying my face against his warm wool tunic. "He... he cornered me in the hallway. He told me he wants all omegas and weaklings wiped out. He said he's going to make an example out of me. He said I'm just a temporary replacement for Lady Lenora, and if I don't die or leave soon, he'll finish me himself. Alistair, what do we do?"Alistair’s body went completely rigid and a ferocious, deep alpha growl ripped from his throat, shaki
Kiera The heavy oak doors of the high courtroom slammed open with a deafening crash that echoed off the ancient stone walls. My heart hammered against my ribs like a trapped bird, and behind me, Susan and Elara clutched my sleeves, their faces pale and drawn. We had barely caught our breath from the terrifying morning at the breakfast table when the guards had dragged us back into this stupid fucking hall again.Altar-side, Alpha King Alistair strode forward, his massive frame radiating pure, unadulterated fury. His golden eyes swept over the council of elders like a wildfire, daring anyone to speak. But the elders did not cower. No… Today, they looked bolder, fueled by a collective rage that hummed through the air."Silence!" Elder Malakor’s raspy, venomous voice cut through the murmurs of the court. He stood at the center of the raised dais, leaning heavily on his carved staff, his ancient eyes fixed entirely on Alistair."You bring shame to this crown, King Alistair!" Malakor sho
