They stopped whatever they were doing and turned to him, bowing with their hand on the chest.

“My Liege.” They all called him, not lifting their gazes from the ground until he waved his hand to gesture to them to ease up.

“Avin.” He called coldly, mind lingering about what happened, her words, her sight, afflicting his mind.

“Yes, My Liege?” He asked, trying to remain unaffected about everything and focus on his work more than someone’s words.

“How many of us made it?” He asked, glancing at Tristan and others for a second before turning back to Avin.

“I am afraid, My Liege. We lost seven of our commanders.” Avin said, looking down, worried by his reaction because his wrath would be unbearable for them.

“What were their ranks?” He asked because if they were among his best ones, all of them were going to be in great trouble.
