Chapter 29

The rest of the evening seemed to fly by with the child by her right side and Xander at her left.

The rest of the pack and the Alphas took turns coming up to greet her, Xander, and now little Kaia. They seemed to adore the beautiful child and she knew that she was going to ask her mother if the pup could stay at the castle and attend school with the other children.

That is if the others accepted her. She hoped that they did because she knew that the pup needed a good home and kind people to care for her. She would see to getting the girl a gentle and trusted nanny to help care for her when she or her mother could not be there to take care of her.

By the end of the night, she was carrying the child in her arms as she had fallen fast asleep. She could tell by the way the girl clung to her that something was wrong and Alyssa would more than likely be checking out how the orphanage was being run. The children there may not have families, but they were certainly part of the future of the
