“Alpha, Alpha Klaus canceled the sudden meeting with us. There’s an emergency in his pack.” My face became sour when I heard Michael. I was waiting for Alpha Klaus in his pack because we had the meeting for the upcoming Alpha Balls. Aside from that, I was trying to investigate what happened to the mother of his Beta.

“How dare he cancel our meeting without talking to me? I’m the Alpha King!” I growled, making Michael step back and almost flinched. Damn him! I was the only one who had the right to cancel our plans! I couldn’t believe he disrespected me!

“A-Alpha, It’s about the Beta’s sister. She’s missing and they are looking for her body. We need to understand that they are facing some crisis.” Beta Michael explained, attempting to tame my beast. I looked away and pushed the chair aggressively. It would have been better if Alpha Klaus already informed me ahead of time because he knew I disliked being treated that way.

He needed something from me so it was better if he would do anything to get my approval. I grunted then angrily left his pack when his wife stopped me. She was panting and I saw how she flipped her hair which made me frown at her.

I disliked how she was trying to get my attention. What I more didn't like was whenever a woman wasn't loyal to her mate. I didn't know what her name was because if she wasn't the Alpha's wife I would never give her any attention I have.

‘Alpha, we are been searching for the woman you want us to locate. We still don't know where she is’

I heard Beta Michael reported using mind link. I was in the Alpha Klaus' mating ceremony when I saw a familiar woman wiping the table. It was surreal because I know someone who had the same face as her died.

“Alpha, do you want anything? I can ask the cook to prepare food for you while you're waiting for Alpha Klaus,” she said in a flirty way making me scowl in disgust. I shook my head before I walked past her.

Alpha Eric didn't choose the right woman to be his Luna. He was stupid to get a woman who would never be faithful and contented to be with him.

“I want to see if she's Rianna,” I whispered to Beta Michael. He nodded his head before he opened the door for me. I saw how the pack members grouped themselves and talked about how the young sister of the Beta jumped from the cliff.

“Who are they talking about?” I was curious. Thinking she might be the one who had been searching for. My heart dramatically rolled like I was nervous about something I didn't even know.

Beta Michael went to the driver's seat before he looked at me and replied, “Alpha, they are talking about Beta's daughter. You know what happened to her mother, right? She got killed on the same day when Rianna died.”

I was stunned when I heard him mention Rianna's name. My jaw clenched in anger. I didn't like it when another man mentioned my mate's name because my beast continued growling. I tapped the door before I glared at him which made him taken aback.

“My apologies, Alpha. I forgot about the rules,” he mumbled when he started the engine. I was the only one who was allowed to utter my mate's name but... I was guilty. I was the main reason why she died.

I couldn't control my beast. He was a monster whenever I was trying to sleep with Rianna. My beast didn't like me at all and I didn't know why. He was competitive whenever I was trying to do something strange to our mate.

“I understand but please, don't mention her name again. You know how jealous my beast is. What about the witch? Do they already find a way to help my condition?” I inquired.

“Alpha, they are trying their best to help you. They are searching for the powerful witch but are still not located. We know witches have been hiding for so long because the hunters have been hunting them like animals.” He replied.

I clenched my hands because of how irritated I was. I didn't know how many years I would survive to be alone. I felt I was caged because of the beast inside my chest.

“Just inform me if there's something new about their investigation. I want to know who is the young lady because she looks like Rianna.” I looked out the window and saw how the troops had been running. I was confused because they were only looking for a one-woman yet they needed a lot of troops.

“It's sad to know what happened to the Beta's sister. She jumped out from the cliff because of Alpha Klaus.” I heard Beta Michael start to tell me some gossip.

“I don't even know you're a gossip monger, Beta. This is his pack so it's up to him how he will manage his pack.”

“He tries to assault the young lady and his wife, Charlotte attacked her.” He wasn't bothered because of my remark yet continued about what he was telling me.

I gave him a cold expression and waited for him to continue what he was going to say. As we left the pack house, he opened the window which made me smell an aromatic smell. My eyes almost popped out because the scent was fading which made me stare at the water.

“Stop the car!” I shouted which made him halt the car in surprise. I quickly left the car and ran to the bridge. I could smell her.

My heart was pounding so fast when I saw a body, floating from the water. Beta Michael shrieked in horror when I jumped out of the bridge to save my mate. As I swam closer to her body, the familiarity of her hair color made my body excited.

“Rianna...” My tone became hoarse as I swallowed some of the salt water which made my throat dry and itchy. She seemed lifeless but I pulled her body and quickly carried her after we back onto the ground.

”Rianna, open your eyes.” I was panting when I uttered those words. Desperation was evident as I pumped her chest. Beta Michael held her hand to check the pulse from her wrist.

“Alpha, she still has a pulse.” He helped me to tap the woman's cheek. She looked like Rianna but I noticed there was a difference with her.

With the last three pumped, she coughed so hard and vomited the water she swallowed. Beta Michael was shocked when the woman opened her eyes, and I saw Rianna's eyes coming from her.

“Alpha, is she---” Beta Michael couldn't finish his words when he remembered I prohibited him from uttering my mate's name.

”Rianna!” I screamed at the top of my lungs when she fainted on the ground. I noticed the bruises on her face and her hands. Who did this to her?

“Rianna, don't leave me.” Those words came out of my mouth which made me remember how I pleaded with her not to die. Shit.
