A Day Off

Zoe's POV

I woke up in a hospital bed at four in the morning, my body cramping badly but at least my head was ebbing and not pounding. I freshened up a little. I would take a taxi home and dress up for work. I could not let Louis get any reason to suspect something was wrong with me.

Before I slept, I made a report to HQ on my development but said nothing about Cathy, other than saying I caught a burglar. My bosses would not be worried about my safety. I had been trained for far more dire situations.

I let Loira know that she would have to do some undercover work and run tests on the DNA samples that I collected from Kathy. In a few days I will know the truth.
