Michal’s POV

The storm outside was beginning to fade, but inside me, it still raged. Lightning no longer split the sky, but I could still feel it in my chest—the static, the tension, the ache.

I stood at the edge of the bedroom balcony, watching the dark clouds scatter, letting the night wind brush against my skin.

Cool air kissed my arms, carrying with it the scent of pine and distant rain. But it did nothing to ease the unrest in my blood. Not after everything that had happened. Not after I almost lost her.

Sabrina was safe now. Inside. Warm. Breathing.

But safety didn’t mean healed. Breathing didn’t mean whole.

When I turned away from the sky and stepped back inside, I saw her sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing one of my black shirts oversized, soft, clinging to her thighs. She always stole them. Always looked better in them than I ever could.

Her hair was damp from a recent shower, strands curling around her face. She didn’t look at me right away. Just sat ther

Shelly’s POV The mansion felt quiet again. But it wasn’t peaceful. It was the kind of silence that settles after a storm—heavy, waterlogged, and waiting for the next thunderclap. Sabrina was home. That should’ve been the end of it. That should’ve been the moment I let myself breathe again. But every time I looked at her, pale and bruised, the memories of those endless hours when she was gone clawed at my chest. I sat at the edge of her bed in the guest wing, watching as she tucked a blanket around her shoulders. She hadn’t said much since she got back. Neither had I. It was like we were both holding our breath, unsure who would speak first and if doing so would make it real. “Do you want tea?” I offered, voice a little too soft. She shook her head. “No. Just stay.” So I did. Her eyes were hollow, swollen from the tears I knew she hadn’t let anyone see. But I saw them now. I saw everything, and for once, I had no idea how to fix it. “I was so scared for you,” I sai

  • Craving My Mafia Obsession    Chapter 83

Michal’s POV The wind cut like a blade through my jacket as Sebastian and I moved silently through the ruins of an old service tunnel on the outskirts of town. We’d followed a trail—faint but there. A small cut in the security grid from the mansion, a car spotted by a contact who owed Sebastian a favor, and then a whisper from one of Luca’s former allies. It wasn’t much. But it was enough. Enough to hope. Enough to break me if we were wrong. “She’s here,” I muttered under my breath, eyes flicking to the cracked concrete door in front of us. Sebastian’s jaw was tight, every inch of his frame coiled like a wire stretched too far. “If he touched her…” “He won’t get the chance to again.” I meant it. With every breath in my body. My knuckles cracked as I loaded another round into my gun. My heartbeat wasn’t steady; it pounded with desperation, with the image of Sabrina crying out for me, and me not being there. I had failed her. Not when the breach happened no. I fail

  • Craving My Mafia Obsession    Chapter 82

Sabrina’s POV The room is cold. Not just from the chill of stone walls or the absence of warmth, but from the way silence hangs like a blanket thick and suffocating. My arms ache from being tied behind me, wrists rubbed raw. The metallic tang of blood mixes with the stale scent of mold and damp earth. Wherever I am, it’s underground. My head throbs. There’s a ringing in my ears that hasn’t stopped since I came to. I vaguely remember Shelly’s voice screaming my name—her silhouette fighting, crying, before everything went dark. I try not to panic, but panic doesn’t care about rational thoughts. It sinks its claws into your chest and squeezes until all you can do is breathe in gasps. I whisper Michal’s name. Just once. My voice cracks in the middle. He’ll come for me. I have to believe that. He and Sebastian. They’ll burn the world to find me. Won’t they? A door creaks open. The light blinds me at first. A bare bulb flickers overhead, casting shadows on the concrete walls

  • Craving My Mafia Obsession    Chapter 81

Michal’s POV The second the perimeter alert blared through the security comms, I was no longer just Michal—the man planning names for his daughter and arguing with Sabrina about nursery colors. I became who I was always meant to be. The second-in-command. The man Sebastian trusted to protect everything he built. The man responsible for keeping the woman carrying my child alive. Sabrina. Across the ballroom, I caught Sebastian’s eye. One look was all it took. The music died down mid-note, laughter snuffed out like a candle, and then the mansion’s emergency protocols roared to life. We moved in perfect sync. Guards were already locking down the perimeter. Steel shutters descended over windows, and guests were ushered into the underground garages. Panic hadn’t reached them yet—only confusion—but I knew that wouldn’t last. Shelly and Sabrina were escorted into the reinforced inner wing—our vault. Designed to withstand a small army. Layers of metal, biometric lock

  • Craving My Mafia Obsession    Chapter 80

Sabrina’s POV: Present time It’s been a few days since the incident happened, and Michael and Sebastian headed out yesterday morning to find any trace of the attackers that tried to attack during our baby shower. The silence in the mansion wasn’t peaceful at all, it was horrific.. in my opinion. It was the kind of quiet that screamed of trouble, like something is about to happen but what? I sat stiffly on the plush velvet loveseat in the west sitting room, cradling my swollen belly like it was the only shield I had. The sunlight from earlier had long disappeared, swallowed by thick clouds and the unease spreading through every inch of the estate. This room has always been my favorite. A place of warmth, comfort, and idle chatter with Shelly over tea and pastries. So I sit here and try to ease my mind, even just for a little bit. “You okay?” Shelly’s voice broke through my thoughts as she lowered herself beside me, hand instinctively reaching for mine. I nodded, but it w
