30: Emergency Occured

Upon arriving home, the first thing I did was go to the kitchen after spending a little time with my children. I was really hungry; in fact, if there was another word to express how I was feeling at the moment, hungry would be an underrated word for it.

"Yvonne, this whole mess should stop, for real! How could they do that? Imagine the danger they exposed you to, to the extent of inviting their cause of problems into the party," Amanda remarked, staring at me as I was devouring the food.

"Well, he said he knew nothing about it, that it was his mother who did," I responded.

"And you bought the lie?" She asked, letting out a deadpan smile.

"You left here last night without eating just because you wanted to impress him, and at last you slept hungry," she added. "You should really be conscious of these people. That he is your baby daddy doesn't mean you should forget the reason we are here," she added.
