Chapter 10 - Return to the party

Theresa’s POV

The moment his godlike body was pressed against mine, my hands instinctively pushed him away, the sparks were intense and exploded everywhere.  I didn’t expect him to go flying.  I turned and found clothes in a basket at the base of a tree and covered myself.  My lack of experience shining through, he has no idea he just gave me my first kiss and I threw him on his ass for the effort.  Thinking about all the things I would do in my mind and actually having your naked mate standing in front of you in his full glory are totally different. 

I didn’t think this all the way through, being carried in with my legs wrapped around Gamma Gabe wasn’t exactly as sweet as I thought, the number of gasps we heard were too funny.  His cheeks went red and thankfully I could just bury my face in his neck, playing it off as I was tired, when in all honesty I could have run a 200 mile marathon and I planned too later but he is my intended finish line.  I heard loud cheers and then clapping as we got to the center of the dance floor.  He lowered me down to my feet and turned me and my parents were standing there, both with smiles on their faces looking at me.  Momma moved in first hugging me tightly and Dad’s arms wrapped around both of us, “looks like my heart is going to be missing another piece soon,” his deep baritone voice whispered into my ear.

I wiggled out of their embrace as I looked at him, “Daddy, I’ll never leave you, but I will be moving in with my mate,” I wiggled my brows at them both, “but I’m only a quick walk and I will be there.” 

Momma giggled, “she is our daughter Braddock,” she shakes her head, “are you happy princess, really happy?”

I couldn’t beam a brighter smile if I were the sun, “very happy Momma, he is the only one I ever wanted.”  The look of surprise on both my parents faces matched the look on his parents faces as Aunt Leah and Uncle Steve looked between the two of us.

Gabe chuckles, “seems I was her every crush she was talking about on Sundays,” he shrugs at them as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls my back to his front. 

My cheeks redden, “a girl can dream can’t she,” I bit my bottom lip, “good thing I didn’t know what you all did, I might have played dirty and really had him go off the deep end,” I giggled.

Abigail chuckled, “now that’s the Teresa I know and love,” she and Christov came up behind us and she smiled at me, “guess, you will be training more for your new position in the pack as Gamma female,” she leaned in and kissed me on the cheek, “I’m so happy for you Teresa, Gabe is such a good guy and you have really put him through it these past 4 years.”

Alpha Christov, nodded to me, “Gamma Teresa,” he says, “that sounds good, very good.”

I look at Gabe and he smiles, then kisses just below my ear, “don’t worry sweets, I’ll teach you everything and my Momma will help,” he turns looking at his mom, “right?”

I look at Aunt Leah and chuckle to myself, yea I can’t call her that anymore, too weird and smile at her, “would you help me, Momma Leah?”

She smiles, “try and stop me princess, you will be fiercer than your own Momma.”  I can’t help but believe her and she had no idea that my power is already surfaced, and I know I can be fierce.

I smile sweetly at her, “thank you, we can start is a few days,” my cheeks heat as my thoughts wonder to later tonight and how much fun I will have with Gabe when we gives me all my firsts.

Momma giggles, “seems our princess is thinking of other kinds of training first,” she arches her brow at me and Dad growls.

I giggle and turn in Gabe’s arms only to see all the blood has drained from his face as he looks at my Dad.  I mind link him, “hey, I’m down here,” his eyes leave my father and gaze into mine, “I’m all you need to worry about for the next few days, my Dad will get over it,” I wiggle my brows.  He smiles wide and leans down to kiss me and my dad growls again.

Abigail bursts out laughing, “Daddy, he is her mate, stop that, he can kiss her anywhere he wants to,” she looks at me with a huge toothy smile, “I made sure that he has plenty of closet space when we found out you might be his mate.” 

Everyone is laughing and I feel  hands on my back, I look over my shoulder and Sofia and Brooklyn both stand behind me with large smiles on their faces, but Brooklyn speaks, “we can’t call him Uncle Gabe anymore can we,” she pouts and Sofia nudges her with her elbow, “it didn’t matter, he made us do all those exercises anyway.”

I chuckle at them and shake my head, “no, you can’t, but guess what, I’ll be helping from now on to do the training,” Sofia looks hopeful until I continue, “and I won’t be so gullible as the male Gamma’s.”

They both slump their shoulders but beam up bright smiles at me, “so you and Gabe are mates, and you will leave and go live with him now?”

I nod, “yes, I will live in the new pack house, and you can come visit me and Abi all the time.”

Sofia looks at Brooklyn, “we need to steal all her lip gloss tonight, so we have it when we start dating.”

My eyes widen to them both, “stay out of my room, and neither of you need lip gloss, your too young.”

I hear cackles and turn to see Momma, Aunt Cynthia and Abi all laughing, shaking their heads, Abi smiles, “sounds familiar, stay out of my room,” Momma chimes in, “stealing lip gloss,” Aunt Cynthia, “your too young.”

I smile, “I deserved that,” I look at my parents, “I’ll be home tomorrow to pick up my stuff and take it over to our Gamma floor at the new pack house.”

Dad hums, “hmm, so you believe you will not be coming home tonight?”

My eyes go wide, “yea Daddy I’m not, I plan to get marked tonight.”

We went to the back and dressed, me back in my gown and him in his suit and entered the party, he he handed me a small box and smiled, “happy birthday sweets."  I opened it and gasped at the beautiful emerald necklace, he whispered in my ear as he placed it around my neck, “this is the first of many things that will make you gasp tonight."
