I was so lost staring at him that I didn't even realize he had finished packing the books.

He paused, staring at me. “Hello?” he said, leaning in slightly.

My breath hitched and I sat on the floor without realizing it. “Hey… hi… what?” I stammered.

“I just asked if you're new here,” he said.

“Y-yes. How did you know?” I asked.

“You're clumsy,” he responded.
