Carter's POV
I drank the sight of Isabella in she looked like she was in pain, so beautiful even in her pain, her long, dark hair lying in loose waves and her gorgeous eyes shimmering with tears and fear.
Suddenly I felt guilty for asking her what happened to her, there's obviously a reason she's so scared of being in any locked space. Even her apartment is very open with large huge windows everywhere, and ofcourse how undeniably scared she was the first day I met her.
"What happened to you?" I ask again.
"I was sexually assaulted." She says then she sighed deeply like it was something she had to get off her chest and my heart crashed to a stop before resuming a fast, erratic beat in my chest.
"Well he didn't technically rape me, he almost raped me but it's like he took a part of me with him that night." She explain

Isabella’s POV After our little heart to heart conversation Carter and I have dinner in front of the tv while watching friends. After we cuddle on the couch, I don’t know how long we sprawled on the couch like that, connected and close, my head on his shoulder and his hands caressing the curve of my spine. I check the time to see it’s almost 11 pm and I was supposed to meet with Alessia hours ago, I already have angry messages from her. "I have to go." I say looking at my phone. Carter pressed his lips to my temple and murmured, “Stay.” “I can’t Alessia will kill me if I don’t meet her in the next 30 minutes.” I say still cuddled against him.
