Isabella’s POV
When I woke up, I could feel that my eyes were swollen. The room was dim, curtains drawn out, Carter must have carried me to the bedroom last night. I pressed the automatic curtain opener on my bedside table, the curtain opens and I could see that the sun was out completely.
I moved the blanket that was over me to the side. Carter must have done that. My heart squeezed. Carter. He had taken care of me.
I felt so safe around him, I have never actually told anyone the extent of what happened to me in details. The only people who knew what happened to me was my parents, then my two best friends Alessia and Lydia and ofcourse my friend Demi and I didn’t tell them anything in detail.

After we cuddle on the couch, I don’t know how long we sprawled on the couch like that, connected and close, my head on his shoulder and his hands caressing the curve of my spine. I check the time to see it’s almost 11 pm and I was supposed to meet with Alessia hours ago, I already have angry messages from her. "I have to go." I say looking at my phone.
