2. Hyden Lester

"I want to marry your daughter, Angelina Cyn."

It took Louis a moment to digest what Lester had just said. Not that he was displeased, he didn't even think that Lester would say this. He would not refuse if Lester became his son-in-law. It's just that, he thought of Angel. His daughter would have been surprised when she found out about this.

Since long time ago, he never saw him daughter have a lover or have an affair with a man. And suddenly, this person whose daughter had never seen before said that he wanted to marry her. Of course this made him feel confused. He didn't know how to tell this to his daughter.

However, when he saw the enormous seriousness in Lester's eyes, he became determined. Lester may be lonely, and because of that he also wants a woman to be his life partner. The woman who will welcome his return when he is tired from work. Moreover, he felt bad about rejecting the good intentions of his late friend's son.

"I don't mind your request. It's just that, I still have to discuss this with Angel. She herself will decide," said Louis at that time, although in his heart he was cheering happily.

"Thank you, Mr. Louis."

Angel's father laughed softly when he heard the call Lester made to him.

"Just call me uncle. Don't be too formal," said Louis to a handsome man who sat with him.

Lester smiled faintly. The man then nodded slowly.

"Yes, uncle."

"However, why did you choose to marry my daughter?" asked Louis. He could see that Lester was the type of guy who was chased by women without him doing anything to attract the attention of the women around him. He thought Lester would play with women before he married someone someday. But who would have thought, if actually Lester didn't want to waste his time on useless things and chose to get married right away. Such a responsible Lester personality certainly got a plus from Louis.

Lester answered in his deep voice.

"I just feel that your daughter is the right woman to be my wife." Lester replied.

Just like his late best friend, the man did not say much to reveal all that was in his heart. All of his words got to the point. Short, clear and concise, but it says it all.

"The last time you met my daughter was when Angel was five years old. Did you get attracted to her that fast?" asked Louis again.

Meanwhile Lester who heard this then narrowed his lips.

"You are wrong. I had been watching her for a long time when she was at Harvard," explained Lester. Which immediately made Louis remember something.

"So, you met her when she was in America?" repeated Louis, a little surprised.

"Yes, several times. But we never greeted each other, she doesn't seem to remember me," said Lester, chuckling softly.

Meanwhile Louis just sighed softly. "She may not remember you, this little boy whose father is always proud of has become a very handsome man. Why don't you greet Angel first?" asked Louis in surprise.

Although what Lester said afterwards was not included in the answer to his question, what the man said was enough to make him feel satisfied.

"I never greeted her, just watching her from afar and guarding her."

In hers room, Angel lay down on hers favorite bed after she put hers bag on the table.

She took a deep breath. Even though she just got home from the hospital last night because she got the night shift. Not having had time to feel tired, hers return was surprised by something that inevitably only added to the burden on hers mind.

Married?

Oh, for what purpose did hers father say that. She has never had the thought of getting married at hers age. She just wants to work hard first now, healing the many people who need hers help. Moreover, lately hers schedule is so busy that she often stays in the hospital rather than at hers house.

This job does take time with hers father. But what she did was also to help people. She couldn't just ignore hers work.

She never felt lonely. Only with hers father she felt very happy. There was no time to think about relationships let alone marriage for her now. She still wants to focus on what she is doing as usual.

However, it seemed that hers father was really thinking about hers happiness. She knew that hers father's intentions were also for hers good.

It is possible that hers father does not want to see herself only living by work and work. He is also worried about hers future. Even though she had told hers father not to worry too much about her. However, this did not convince hers father.

Angel sighed softly.

"If I'm really going to get married, what kind of person is dad talking about?" She muttered softly.

She is not interested in this marriage. Absolutely not.

It was very strange for her to suddenly marry someone she didn't know before.

Does that man know herself?

Angel began to think rationally, according to her, a relationship exists when the two feel compatible. And before that, both of them must have understood the nature and character of each. Those who meet every day are unlikely to fall in love with each other.

Then, what about her who never met that man?

She is not easy to put hers trust in someone. It was so difficult for her to do.

Then, does hers father want her to marry without love? Can she be happy?

"I'm not ready to get married."
