“Are you sure about this? We don't mind you staying back here. You don't have to follow us.” Daniel said, his voice full of warmth.

“No need to cower away for so long. It's time to face the truth. Make Elena pay for her crimes and earn back the elders' trust again.” I uttered, my arms crossed.

Daniel and Marcus exchanged looks.

“Alright, Lila. I'll get the cars ready. It's always advisable to leave at noon so we'll get there before dusk.” Marcus said, patting my shoulder gently.
