Chapter 10.
Anastasia's POV.
I waited in the office as Tristan commanded me to. He told me not to leave my office.
"Why would you want to bring a child into the office? Do you know what the world might say?" I heard Penelope's voice as she followed Tristan into the office after a few minutes.
I saw Tristan holding my kid's wrist.
"Mummy!" Ashley removed her hands from his grasp, and she ran towards where I was giving a very huge hug.
"I really miss you, momma." Ashley gave me a huge hug while I was sitting. I noticed the two friends had stopped arguing.
It turned out they were staring at me.
"You see? Why do you always like this whenever you are around her? I have always been the one protecting your reputation ! This is how you repay me?" Penelope shouted at Tristan.
How is he whenever he's with me? Does she even know what she is saying at all?
"This is not about repaying, and who told you she was staying in my office?" "This is my business, not yours. I also hate it whenever a baby talks." Tristan complained.
Ashley and I wouldn't stop staring at them.
"Get out of my office now!" Tristan commanded her.
"I don't like seeing two friends fighting because of me, I don't just like it." I muttered under my breath.
The two stopped arguing and looked at me. I have forgotten they are wolves, and they could hear whatever I was saying.
Penelope stopped arguing and then walked out of the room. It wasn't my fault, though.
Tristan went to his seat immediately after the fight happened. Ashley looked at them and then away from my grasp.
Before I knew it, she ran to where Tristan was.
"I am so sorry, sir. Forgive my mom and I." Ashley touched Tristan hand that was on his mouse. Tristan stared at my daughter eyes.
I know they had the same kind of eyes.
"I am not angry at you, dear. It's not your fault that you are here." Tristan patted her, almost ruffling her hair.
"Thank you very much, mister." Ashley said, then ran to me.
"Mummy! I don't want to disturb the young mister, I would go and wait outside for you." She said to me.
"Oh OK." I handed her tablet to her, then she went out of the office. I already texted Cassie that my daughter is coming to her.
"I don't like kids around me." Cassie texted back.
"Oh! You would definitely would. My kid isn't the troublesome type. She took after her father." I assured her.
I don't know who her father was, I don't know how he looks like. Not only that, but I know her father must be the really gentle type. I know that I am the stubborn one, and there is no way she will take after me.
My parents knew what it was like to grow someone like me. I'm sure if they were two of my type, they would have sold us off.
"I should have gone to take her myself. You brought a lot of people's attention by going down there to get her." I told Tristan.
"Do you expect me to say sorry? Do you think they just allow kids into my computer without any verification? You are a new worker, your ID card hasn't been given to you yet. Do you think the guards would allow?" Tristan retorted back.
"You could have sent Cassie! You didn't have to go that far. Do you know how much that is going to affect me during my stay here?" I questioned him.
He doesn't know the pain I had to go through, a lot of people discriminating me because I am a single mom. I will have to go through that at the work place again.
"No matter what, people will get to know that you are a single mom! What are you hiding, exactly? The fact that you don't want to be called a single mom? I didn't tell you to have a one-night stand with a random stranger that doesn't even give a fuck about you." Tristan said with the coldest voice as possible.
That hit me badly in the heart, I never imagined I was going to be talked to like this. I now know the kind of emotions Tristan has towards me.
"He doesn't like me at all, he acts kind to me sometimes because I look pitiful. He is the harsh person, and that is why his emotions looks as if they are always switching." I thought.
"This world is a harsh world, so you better get used to those kinds of harsh words coming from people. There is nothing you can do about it, you just need to get used to it." Tristan added.
"Yes, yes! I just have to get used to it. So I don't need you pitying me, sir. Just act like your usual self when you are around me, and don't pity me at all." I said to him…
"I will have to go for lunch now." I added looking at my time.
I haven't eaten since morning because of this damn forsaken job. My heart was starting to beat very fast, it was so tight that I couldn't even think straight.
I get that kind of feeling anytime I really get angry, and hurt at the same time by words. I walked out of the office, and saw on the chair outside.
"Are you okay, momma?" Ashley noticed me touching my chest, breathing heavily.
"Are you okay? What is wrong with you?" Cassie asked from where she was sitting down.
"I am okay, I just need air." I managed to say.
"You didn't tell me you have a daughter." Cassie stated.
"I just resumed yesterday. We will get to talk later." I indicated to her, telling her that he might be eaves dropping on our conversation right now.
"Just tell me if you are hungry, I will get you something to eat." I told my daughter.
"Okay momma." She replied to me, then I went to get what to eat for lunch.
"She has a daughter! Some said she is a single mother! What a slut." I heard one of the workers said on my way to the company's cafeteria.
I remembered what Tristan told me, I should get used to harsh comment like this, and I shouldn't let there affect me. That is what I am currently doing. I am trying to make sure these words doesn't affect me.
I got to the cafeteria, and some of the workers kept on looking at me in as weird way, acting like high school kids.
Furthermore, I don't what what's wrong with them. If they want to ask me questions, they should walk up to me and stop staring at me that way.
"I wonder who the father of the child is? She looked so pretty, the child doesn't look like her at all." One of the workers said.
"The child might end up becoming someone like her, who knows! A slut like she is." One of the workers said.
They could say bad things about me, but not my daughter. My eyes happened to locate the person who said it.
"Say that again, and I will make sure you regret saying something like that about my kid." I warned her.
"What do you what to do to me exactly? Beat me up? I said your child might end up becoming someone like you! A slut." She stated.
I heaved a deep sigh of relief, while I walked closer to her. I took the fork that was on her table, then stabbed her arm without even thinking.
"Ahhh!" She screamed.
I dropped the fork. On the table then walked out of the café out of the office building to get some fresh air.
"How could she do this? She is a psycho!" One of the workers said while I walked outside. Some were surprised by my act, as they should!
"Woah, it looks as if she wants to get out of the company quickly." Another one of the said.
"If it were me, I would have done the same too. I wouldn't want to watch someone insult my daughter that way." Another one of the workers said.
I take shit to myself, but never to my daughter. I would kill anyone for my daughter to live. I would kill anyone who dares touch my daughter.
I knew what I had to go through to make her the way, I will make sure she doesn't walk in my footsteps. I needed to find her father quickly, by all means.

I walked back to my office after some time, I'm not sure if the information about what I did reach Tristan yet.
I just did it as an act of self-defence, and nothing else. I don't care if I get sued for what I did. I just did it to protect my daughter.
I reached the office, and started working on the files that I was supposed to work on. It was then Penelope rushed into the room, panting heavily.
"What is the problem?" Tristan stood up. He knew Penelope wouldn't just rush into the room like that.
Perhaps, is it because of what I did?
"A dead body was found with a wolf bite last night. You know what the government can do because of this?" Penelope informed Tristan.
The police rushed into the office, what are the police here for again?
"Miss Anastasia, you are under arrest." The police announced while Tristan eyes met mine. This shouldn't be happening right now.
He sounded so furious.
Chapter 11. Tristan's POV. "What the hell is going on?" I shouted. "Can all of you excuse me for a moment?" I told them, calming my nerves down, then slowly sitting back on my seat. "Tristan! This is an important matter!" Penelope told me. I know how important that can be. Killing rampage? "I need all of you to get out, including the police." I instructed them. "Sir, we need to speak with the person we are here for assaulting one of the workers in this place. " The police stated. "Except from you, Anastasia." I stated before she could walk out. Why is Penelope looking at me that way? If there are several problems, it will be right to take one and attend to it first. Anastasia looked so scared, does she think I'm going to bite her? I don't understand this reaction of hers. Where did her confidence run to? "What's with the Police case?" I looked at her disgustingly, asking her the question. "If you know you want to start asking me questions, I would rather follow the Policeme
Chapter 12. Anastasia's POV. "You have been released from here. Thanks to the accuser who changed her mind." The policeman informed me after I spent a few hours in jail. "Thank you very much." I told him, then walked out of the Station. My mind went to my daughter immediately. My phone isn't with me, and I wondered what made me forget the phone in Ashley's hand. "I was waiting for them to release you, they did already." The lady whom I stabbed with a knife walked up to me, jolting me from my thoughts. "Seems like you really want another stab!" I threatened her. "Then no one would be able to save you this time around, no amount of money will make me change my mind." She stated. What does she mean by that? I looked at her in a confused way. "Someone paid me a very huge amount of money, so I will take back my statement. For me to accept that offer, you should know the money should really be a big one." She explained further. I guess she must have noticed how confused I was. "Do
Chapter Thirteen Anastasia's Point Of View. "Thank you very much for yesterday." I brought down my pride, and then I needed to thank him for watching over my daughter. "Stabbing someone with a fork? What are you really?" He chuckled. That will be the first time I have seen him almost laugh, ever since I have been working with him. It just turned out that he was laughing at me. Foolish me! I made up my mind to respect him as my boss already, and I hope I don't break up what I have promised myself. I didn't reply to him, then helped him with his suit. "Why are you not answering me? Is your mouth too heavy?" He asked furiously. Why is he getting pissed off again? I thought he said I should respect him? "I'm sorry if I didn't reply you. I felt that doesn't need a response, I'm trying my very best to be very respectful towards you." I answered him, and he faked a smile. "How did you get off the prison last night? I thought you were going to spend a year there. Or probably six mont
Chapter Fourteen. Anastasia's POV. Tristan looked at me and then at my father, and immediately my father said it. "Uhm, it's nothing much. We are kind of related, so I just want to see her for a few minutes." My father told him. I was already expecting him to deny me, especially in front of Tristan. He wouldn't want to spoil his reputation in front of the person he adores so much, he must've seen me as a daughter to run away after getting pregnant. More like a slut. "You can go listen to whatever he wants to tell you. I don't care about the type of relationship you two have." Tristan said this to me, then walked away, leaving me at the door entrance. He entered the lift right in front of me. I walked back to the office and closed the door, leaving my father and me in the room. I crossed my hands, waiting for him to start talking bullshit. "Woah! I thought I warned you that I didn't want to see you around this place anymore. What are you still doing here?" My father queried me, w
Chapter 15. Anastasia's POV. I waited patiently for him to answer my question. "Why would I want to stop you from communicating with your father? Should I even call him your father?" He asked me while he focused back with whatever he was doing on the computer that was in his front. I couldn't figure out why I was finding it so hard for me to believe him. "What else were you expecting him to say?" I asked myself while I focused on whatever I was doing. "Don't call him my father, he isn't worth that title." I answered his question after a few minutes, then continued what I was doing. "Seems you two had a fight, that's good." He said scoffing. Good? "What's good exactly?" I asked him "The fact that you showed him you are not weak, you poured a glass of water on him. I feel like you should have done something worse." He said with an evil smirk. I don't have anything to say anything, to be honest. I just don't know what to say. Tomorrow is Saturday, I will have little time to
Chapter 16. Anastasia's POV. She looked around with her hands on her chin, trying to give me an answer to my question. "The least thing he could do is to fire you. Then, before he figures out, you can have the opportunity to start working at Ezra's company." She answered me. Yeah, I understood what she was trying to say. I don't know why I am scared at the same time, even after knowing the least thing he could do was to fire me. Why do I have this feeling that he could something more than that? Oh, no! I should stop being delusional. "How has been your boss?" She asked.me. "He is cool, very cold-hearted, and sometimes he might get to show how much he pitied me, which I really hated." I explained to her while she just chuckled. "Mummy! Please, can you buy this for me? I really love it." She pointed at a gown. "Sure, anything for my baby." I told her with a wide smile on my face. I made sure the cloth fitted her perfectly, and it did. "Is there any other thing you want? I would
Chapter 17.Tristan's POV.I kissed the bitch that was at my front slowly. I do come to the club most times after work, especially on Fridays. It is just a way to cool off after a long week.It is just a way to have fun and to remind myself that I will be entering a new week soon. I came to the regular club I had been coming to before the incident that day.It was then that I saw a bitch who was willing to fuck me. At that moment, we found our way to the top of the building. I carried her on my arm while I gave her the hickey. The wolf in me loved this particular feeling.Unfortunately, I couldn't find my mate or figure out who my mate was. It was a bad experience for me, which I didn't like at all, and I hope other werewolves wouldn't find out about this.I kissed her slowly while she pulled off my shirt. I also pulled off her gown to have easy Access to her body. Furthermore, I was always with a condom, after pulling out my hard member from my trouser, I used the condom over it."I
Chapter 18.Anastasia's POV.I woke up in a very strange environment, and I wondered how I got there. I tried to remember what happened last night, but I couldn't. Furthermore, I walked out of the bedroom with my short dress on, exposing my bare legs."Where is this place?" I asked myself, looking around. I tried to figure out where I was, it looked so fucking familiar. It was then that I saw Tristan come out of a room. It was then that my eyes opened widely. How the hell did I get here? What am I doing here in the first place? He was covered in blood, it looked like he just killed someone. I staggered upon seeing him. I became so scared. I realized I was in his house."What the fuck! Don't tell me you killed someone. What is that blood? You look scary right now." I screamed and almost ran out of the sitting room, but the door was locked.I turned back and could feel someone strangling me. Who the hell is this?"Please let me go." I struggled to say it, but his grip became tighter."L
