Her Alluring Figure

Diavolo arrived at the hotel and made his way inside with his bodyguards and Luca trailing behind him. He doesn't do parties. He doesn't like them either but then again, it involved the issue of his foster father's fortune so he couldn't turn a blind eye even if he wanted to.

Maximo had always had an eye for the deed of his father's fortune and so far, he had been trying to subdue his efforts so that he doesn't acquire them no matter how hard he tried.

"Diavolo." Maximo called out to him the minute he spotted him at the entrance of the casino. The look on his face told him that he wasn't expecting him to be there but then again, he couldn't send him away even if he wanted to. "Non mi avevi detto che saresti venuto alla festa." He forced a smile but Diavolo could see way past those fake smiles and pretence. It was his half brother after all so he wasn't expecting anything less from the so called traitor.

"You also didn't tell me that you were plotting to split your father's fortune but, here we are." His voice came out brittle and raw. A mixture of no emotions as he blurted out those words. He dipped his hands into his pockets and straightened himself properly so that he was well balanced enough to face him. It was a family meeting after all.

Maximo did a quick sweep of the casino with his eyes to ensure that no one was eavesdropping on them. "I wasn't planning on hiding it from you. The members were asking questions and I'm only doing this to get on their good side so that they won't start up any problems for us." He went further to explain, hoping that his brother would buy it but knowing Diavolo, he could swear that he was in for a treat. A very special treat.

Diavolo laughed. An empty, one. He then proceeded to wipe off an invisible dust that had caught itself on Maximo's shoulders. "I know you Maximo. Before you even take a step, I am well aware of it. Do you think that you can outsmart me? And with your mediocre plans at best?"

Leaning in closer, he whispered. "The families are under me Maximo and I know everything that goes on around here. If they wanted to start a fight, I'd figure it out even before your hound gets a whiff of it. They know better than to double cross me, just like you so I would advise you to take a step back." He threatened and straightened himself to full height.

Maximo blinked viciously, his face turning sour. Diavolo's words had hit a muscle and he was finding it difficult to continue the good boy act that he had put on. In fact, screw that. "You are not the real son of my father Diavolo. His fortune belongs to me and you know it. I am his legitimate son and I should head the family after his demise. It is my right!. You're just a nobody feeding off the scraps of what my father gave you!" He stomped his foot on the ground angrily. The veins on his forehead popped out visibly.

"And that nobody was made head of his fortune. Do you want to know why?" Diavolo asked, bridging the gap between them. "Because he considers this nobody worthy to lead instead of his own son. You have always been careless Maximo and your father was well aware of the destruction you would make if he left you in charge. A person who makes decisions with his dick instead of his head cannot lead the empire that he had struggled by himself to build from scratch and you know it."

Maximo folded his fists beside him, the blood in his veins pumping in rage. If he was angry before, he was definitely on the verge of exploding like an active volcano at this point. Diavolo was getting on his nerves. This party was supposed to go smoothly and the only reason he sent that invitation was because he knew how much Diavolo hated parties and he didn't want him to suspect that he was up to something but now, the idiot had caught on and now everything is ruined.

Diavolo made to leave but stopped abruptly as though he had forgotten something. "Oh and next time, do seek adequate permission from me before you make any more decisions concerning my fortune otherwise, I'd kill you myself" He deadpanned. Eyes pinning him to the ground where he remained rooted.

"Why don't you do it now?" He retorted, challenging him in a fierce manner. "You already have the power to kill me if you want so don't waste any more time and go for it. What's stopping you? Put an end to my life like you have done to every one of your enemies. Why are you holding back?"

Diavolo tilted his head slightly to a side. "I know that I have all the power in the world to kill you but then again, you haven't stepped out of line Maximo. I'll be waiting for you to do so first because if I should kill you now, it'll be a hassle for me and I won't enjoy it. You of all people should know that by now." He hit his cheeks playfully. "So be a good boy Maximo so that you won't have to suffer the cruel fate of dying by my hands." He said before making his way into the casino to take his seat.

Maximo watched his step brother as he walked away into the casino. The masked demon threatened him in front of his men and bruised his ego. He realized that he wouldn't be able to stop him now if he wanted to but with time, he'd make sure that he'll get what's coming for him and that's a promise he intended to keep.

Diavolo had not only stolen his childhood but his entire life. He stole his father's love and made him look useless to everyone. When he first showed up at their mansion as a teenager drenched in the rain with nothing but an eye patch on his face, Maximo had thought that he had finally found someone to be friends with, an innocent dog to do his bidding and run all his errands for him but he never expected Diavolo to exceed greatly at all the expectations given to him by him and his father.

He handled the father's business and helped make decisions to expand their empire at such a young age. His father called him a prodigy and soon after he passed, he transferred everything to Diavolo, leaving nothing but a quarter of what he had to him.

Since then, his hatred for him only grew. He had tried everything to kill him on several occasions but Diavolo was very smart and calculative. Always a step ahead so now, he would lay low for a while and look for his weakness and when he finds it, he'd make sure to utilize it properly.

"Do you want to leave now, Boss?" Luca asked from across the bar where he was seated. He has noticed how bored he looked from where he was seated. The frown on his face had only gotten deeper.

"Let's wait for a while and see what they're up to." And that was all he said. A man of very few words. From the dark corner of the VIP area where he was seated, he scanned through the premise of the casino with his eyes as he took a sip of his drink sparingly.

He took note of all the stuff happening around him. Being in a syndicate had a way of sharpening one's senses and just as he was about to look away, that's when his eyes came in contact with the young beautiful woman with fiery red hair that had just walked into the casino, gracing the once lonely place with her presence. Her hips swayed sideways as she walked, complimenting her alluring figure. She whispered something to the other woman that she had walked in with while he just sat there watching her with a stoic expression on his face but Luca could tell that he found the woman interesting.

His face might not show it but that's how it has always been for his boss. He never gives two fucks about something no matter how much he wanted it.

"Do you want her, Boss?" Luca inquired when he noticed how hard his boss was staring at the tiny woman that had just walked in. Since he couldn't say it, maybe it was best that he helped him out. That is, if he would let him. "I could easily arrange—"

"No." He cut him short. "Let her be. I'm not interested in taking a woman home for tonight." He took another swig, trying so hard to look away even though he found it extremely hard to do so. Who exactly was that woman and what was she doing in a place like this?
