Theodore stopped right next to Levi. “What is going on here?”

“Vianne,” Briar called out to me. “Tell them.”

My eyes darted between Levi and his father.

“I am thinking of applying to Columbia,” I blurted.

I just could not bring myself to get the words out of my mouth.

What was so difficult about saying Briar was using Theodore for his money?

Theodore stepped closer. “That's really great, Vianne. Have you thought about what you are going to major in?”

“How dare you give me an ultimatum?” She barked.
