Levi's POV

After sitting at the same spot for about an hour, I finally had my reasoning back and I was able to use my leg—to walk at least.

I rushed into the boys’ bathroom inside the hideout like a madman. I didn’t even lock the door behind me. My hands were trembling, and my throat was tight, like it had been twisted shut with barbed wire.

There was no one in the room and I liked it, at least, I'll be able to fidget in peace without anybody calling me an amateur.

For some reason, I could still feel the blood on me. I could still see it. I could still hear the sound of that man screaming. That last breath he took—ragged, desperate. I just wanted it gone. All of it.
