Vianne's POV

I didn't hesitate before rushing to the kitchen to fetch some water, but by the time I returned, Levi wasn't on the ground anymore.

I glanced at the couch in the living room but there wasn't any sign of him there. He was just here a minute ago, where the hell did he go just now?

I became scared, could this be a prank or something? I was so terrified that I didn't realize when I loosened my grip around the glass cup I was holding. It slipped out of my hand, crashing to the floor and shattering into wet shards as the water in it splashed all over the tiles.

I stood frozen, unsure what to do and where to search. Did a ghost come to pick him up or has death taken him away. Our house is quite big, but also too small to play hide and seek so what the hell was Levi trying to do?

I hurried towards the exit door and twisted the doorknob to confirm if he left the house but I noticed the door was still locked and it doesn't seem like someone had opened it from the inside.
