Ethan’s POV:
I think I would’ve been a little glad if a ghost had actually shown up at that time in the party. But further adding to my miserable luck for today, it was someone worse than that.
Zeus Blackwell…the root cause of my bad luck had arrived here too.
That punk held a proud arrogant sneer on his lips as he walked through the glass door, bearing his majestic aura. Groomed in a branded pitch-black leather jacket with grey denim jeans in contrast, his onyx black hair bangs covering his forehead along with his sharp sexy jawline…were enough to reflect the radiance of a top-notch celebrity from him.
I hated to admit that his handsomeness was way beyond too dazzling for me to ignore, compared to all the other men attending the party, who looked more like peasants to me before this ‘Dark Prince’.
His big mysterious eyes had a reserved look in them when he calmly strode towards us, but while walking past a few young girls, Zeus made them gasp with his aura. Not only the girls, but rolling my quick glance I saw a few young men were also momentarily hypnotized by this punk’s beauty…to the extent that none of them could blink their lashes or breathe in until his majestic figure marched past them.
“Z-Zeus?” Finally breaking the awkward silence that had spread across the table, Chris quickly walked towards him first, greeting him with a humble smile. “Wow, what a surprise man! I thought you disliked attending fresher parties. You never attended one in the last two years, no matter how much we requested you to…even this year too, Emma said you turned down her invite without a second delay!”
My breath hitched when I saw Zeus lock his enchantingly beautiful eyes solely on me among the countless people inside the party hall. Then, in a deep manly grunt, he answered, “I have changed my mind now because something has caught my attention.”
As if flies were swarming around a delicious ripe fruit, within a few minutes a crowd of young pretty girls, mostly around Emma’s age immediately surrounded Zeus, to express their ardent admiration towards him.
I realized that crowd of girls must be this jerk’s fandom and watching all of them getting crazy for an arrogant prick like him, I couldn’t help but feel a bit jealous.
What would these girls see in him anyway?… Except for his dazzling beauty, sexy muscular build, tall height, deep enchanting voice and he smells really nice too, like a fresh bunch of peonies.
But…Wait…when did I start observing him this deeply?
“Zeus…umm, I am really happy to see you here… You could’ve texted me about it and we could have come to the party together. I would have loved it, you know?”
Unlike how bold Emma behaved before this jerk arrived here, her personality completely shifted as she acted a little coy before him. Moving closer by invading through the crowd, she further added, “As the President of your Fanclub, I would’ve escorted you here—”
“I don’t have your number.” But interrupting her words with a very cold grunt, Zeus’s voice flinched all the girls there, including me as I saw Emma’s face getting pale from embarrassment.
“But…I-I had given you my number…” In front of a big audience, Emma tried to hold her face uptight and save her pride with an awkward chuckle, “I had also called you a few times today—”
“I don’t find it necessary to have any one of your numbers saved in my phone, especially you because you seem to harbor the habit of being a nuisance and calling me several times a day. Be thankful that I didn’t block your number yet. Also, could you all just scram off me already?”
Zeus’s adamant irked growl put Emma in a remorseful situation which made me feel pity for her. She was smiling so happily at him, but her face turned dull from his scowl. However, keeping a small sad smile intact, she didn’t bother interrupting him anymore.
When she stepped aside, following her the flock of girls also moved away from him as if they didn’t intend to make him furious anymore. I was already pissed off at this jerk’s shitty personality when I saw Emma’s eyes shimmering in tears.
But before I could speak a word for her, Chris hurriedly walked past us and lashed out furiously at him, “Hey, Zeus? Come on, man, we are your classmates, have some respect for us at least! If you don’t want to treat us as your friends, would it kill you to be a just little fuckin’ nice to us? Besides, Emma has been always good to you, so why would you have to humiliate her always?”
“Chris, stop it, please don’t pick up a fight here. I am already embarrassed, don’t shame me anymore…”
I saw Emma trying to pull Chris away from him while suppressing her tears, but that jerk showed no sign of remorse and stood proudly tall with an impassive face. His icy-cold gaze fixated on Chris when he shrugged, “Then tell her not to be good to me anymore, cuz I really don’t care.”
“Damn you, arrogant ass—”
“STOP IT, CHRIS!”
Before it could have led to a bigger fight, Emma’s loud shriek paused everyone, including Chris who seemed furious enough to throw his hands at Zeus.
I thought him to be the friendliest guy here, but the way he stood up for Emma in front of everyone, gave me the idea that Chris must be in love with Emma…despite she was devoted to Zeus only.
Damn…now I felt truly bad for Chris and Emma, and this jerk who seemed to be enjoying breaking this maiden’s heart.
Tears streamed down her eyes when clutching onto his shirt Emma pulled Chris away from that table to the other side of the party hall, leaving an awkward silence for the rest of us.
Ralph also followed after his best friends quickly looking a bit concerned, however, he glowered at Zeus once, seeming furious at him. As soon as those people left, I let out a heavy sigh while tossing my glance on Hermes who stood nearby from me.
But I was jolted in shock to witness a small curve of a smile on his lips! With an excited glimmer in his brown eyes, Hermes’s expression gave me a vague assumption as if he was actually enjoying witnessing the chaos there!
How can it be considered a normal behavior? I hoped Hermes was a nice guy from the way he shielded me against that guard…but now watching Emma humiliated like this…how could he hold even a tiny bit of smile in this situation?
Unable to withstand the awkward ambiance anymore, I felt the urgent need to distract myself for a breather of relief.
I was in dire need of a drink, so I headed towards the bar counter alone since I saw Hermes exchanging greeting with another group of young rich brats next to that table.
But while I was walking away from there, I could feel a cold piercing gaze burrowing on my back from behind, but in that agitated state of mind, I didn’t bother to check who it was.
The bar counter was located at the farthest end of the giant hall, which took me around 15 minutes to reach over there. Earlier I had confirmed from Hermes that we don’t have to pay a dime for our food and drinks, since the University fund will bear that.
Thus, I couldn’t let this golden opportunity skip from my hand when I had the chance to taste the world-renowed exquisite drinks here for which this restaurant was famous for.
Reaching the bar counter, the bartender guy was around of my age, which made me feel comfortable to initiate a conversation, “Hello, can you please bring me the most expensive drink on the menu? Oh, and I like it a bit strong of course—”
“I can buy that drink for you.”
A soft manly voice next to me on that counter flinched me a little hard, as I saw it was a bald rich-looking man, with a big pot belly smiling at me.
Standing next to me, despite he had bit of an ugly, old man appearance, he was groomed in an expensive branded suit and a big gold chain, hanging down his neck with a big pendent of ‘$’ sign carved in it. That ‘$’ pendant was beautifully embellished with big diamonds!
“U-Um, e-excuse me, do I know you?”
I felt overwhelmingly nervous from being approached by that flashy old man, but to my surprise, he smiled mysteriously at me and moved a little closer to me on that counter, “I can buy the most expensive drinks for you…or anything you name, I can give it to you, pretty boy.”
Pretty boy? His absurd compliment made me a little irked as I wondered if he had a poor vision to label someone big and masculine like me as a ‘pretty’ boy! I know I might not have a massive build like Zeus…but I am still very manly myself!
Wait…why does my mind keep thinking of that jerk, ugh!
I tossed an awkward smile at that man, trying to silence his blabber, “No, thank you. I don’t need you to buy anything for me, we are practically strangers—”
My entire body shuddered, making my words trail off when I sensed that old man was groping my left butt cheek with his palm, fondling it very casually as if it was something normal!
While doing so, that old man had an ugly smug face, fixating his intense gaze on me. My blood was fuming with disgust, as I thought what kind of sane person can grab a stranger’s butt on their first meet?
Wasn’t the day going worse already…that now I am approached by a pervert?

Armando’s POV:{FLASHBACK}:If someone had told me that I would eventually find myself softening towards a mere human maiden like her, I would have laughed that out in their face. But before I could realize what was happening, I couldn’t bear to treat her harshly as I had always behaved towards other humans…though the reason was unknown to me…at first. Even though in our very first meeting, Sophia pleaded to me to take Prince Zeus along with me, but knowing his fiery temperament, as he was my devoted master, if I had just barged into this small, shabby habitat, which had become his home without a warning or his permission, he might drag me down to hell. Every time Prince Zeus sneaked out of the territory to pick wild herbs, I would continue my observation around their hut, and before I could realize, I had already devoted myself to protecting his home and the petite human lady who had stolen his heart, Sophia. Every time I showed up, Sophia always greeted me with a warm cordial smi
Armando’s POV:{FLASHBACK}:Almost choking myself on the mango out of panic, at first, I was too disheveled to face that foolish human who was giggling right in front of me. But as if my pride got a little hurt, I tossed away the fruit and glowered at her, clearing my throat, “How dare you, little human? How dare you call me a spy? Do you even know who I am? Call me Lord Armando, the Great War General of the Blood Ink Pack, who can kill you right at this moment for your audacity!” It seemed for a second that she was startled by my words. But after a brief, anticipatory silence, she humbly bowed her head before me, as she spoke with a soft smile, “Pardon my rudeness, Sir. I didn’t mean to cause any harm…but…I shouldn’t have gone out of my way to tease you. However, I do know about you…I had my hunch about you since the day I first saw you here…especially in your uniform. That’s the main reason I had been leaving all these fruits intentionally outside…so that we would get to meet at
Armando’s POV:{Flashback}:How long has it been since I started counting the days? Probably, it all started the day after searching around tirelessly as his newly appointed general, I finally managed to discover Prince Zeus’s whereabouts, especially about his forbidden infatuation with a human maiden. A foolish human maiden, that’s what I had named her. The day after Prince Zeus went missing from the war ground, the whole Blood Ink clan went berserk with panic, as it had been 200 years since a Supreme Alpha like him was blessed to the clan, especially His Majesty, King Gregor. I was only around 18 years old, the same age as the Prince…and as his newly appointed general, the duty of finding out about his whereabouts fell on my shoulders, which I vowed to obey diligently. Until the day I actually found him. Far from the Blood Ink territory, into the distant land where the cowardly humans lived, I succeeded in discovering him by following the trace of his strong scent. At first, i
Ethan’s POV:My growl fervently echoed within the walls of that small room, but the man didn’t even flinch once and stood still, locking his intense gaze on me as if it would burn a hole through my face. Despite enduring a painful agony from those words he said earlier, I was trembling in wrath, while staring daggers into his darkened eyes. However, following that intense pause between us, he took a long, deep inhale, before stating the words in a stiff, low pitch, “The more I look into your eyes, the more it makes me realize not only your eyes look the same…but your nature definitely resembles hers. I do not have any doubt regarding the feelings you harbor for Zeus, and that’s why I am more worried about you.” “Whose eyes are you talking about!? Don’t you dare play word games with me, you rascal!” However, unable to get a grip on my rising fury, I lashed aloud, almost rushing closer to grip him by his collar. It was tough, but I stopped myself at the very last minute. But my acti
Ethan’s POV:A brief, intense silence persisted between us right after the moment those words left his mouth, as I couldn’t help but stare intently into those hazel eyes locked on me. For a second, it felt as if he was sincere from the way he spoke those words to me. But it didn’t fail to trigger my fury either, as I parted a scornful smile at him while urging, “Are you…kidding with me?” “No, I am dead serious right now.” Armando didn’t even move an inch, and his tone sounded deeper than before when he uttered those words. But a crippling anxiety grew inside me, which I tried to mask with my scorned sneer, “Then are you perhaps trying to scare me off, Mr. Armando? Do you think I would actually listen to the bullshit you’re spouting right now?” “Hah…” He exhaled a long sigh and then moved a few steps back towards his desk, seeming a bit dejected by his body language. He drank a glass of water, and then averted his cryptic eyes on me as he uttered, “From the moment I met you, I coul
Ethan’s POV:Just peering intently into his mysterious orbs rolled at me, it would be a lie if I said his question didn’t take me aback. Countless possibilities ran through my mind, stirring palpitations inside my body, but I couldn’t help but furrow my brows at him. The more I observed this weird man, I hated to admit that I was momentarily baffled by how gorgeous he was, even as a man. Up until now, I haven’t found any man I have met in my life who comes any closer to Zeus’s striking beauty, except this one, perhaps because none of them were humans in the first place? But the confidence in his tone left a bitter taste in my mouth when I pursed my lips before asking him cautiously, “Are you…his lover?” “What!? Eww!” Following by a disgusted shriek, Armado scorned at me, sounding quite amazed from his tone as he charged me, “How did you come to that conclusion? Do I look like a petite man in your eyes?” “No…I-Its not that…” I muffled my words, as of course, how could I shove my
