ONE-HUNDRED-TWENTY-TWO
PHOENIX POV
I throw myself into my work as second during the time Dominic needs me, which has been a little more in the last couple of weeks as Seraphina gave birth to their new son Zane King and then I go hunting for rogues when I have time to myself, with Scarlett not being here it is the only way I have found to keep Soren sane but he is getting harder and harder to control even when hunting.
With the Blood Moon approaching, he is getting really restless, wanting to touch and hold our mate. I haven't heard from her since that first call when I returned to the castle. I have slowly come to terms that she wouldn't lie to me and that the baby she is carrying is indeed mine. She will still have a few months to go when she gets back so I can bond with both of them during that time.

SCARLETT POVWe both laugh, but I don't think he is far off in succeeding. It isn't much longer before we arrive at the dress shop. Antonio parks the car then gets out, comes around, and lets us out. Once we walk inside, I am overwhelmed by the number of dresses in front of me. I slowly move through the rows and rows of all different styles of dresses. I lose Serenity at some stage around the shop. I turn inward to Cara and Ruth."Do either of you see anything that would be good for us to attend the Blood Moon Ball in?""No, not yet, but there is one here somewhere. Keep walking around. H POVAfter she has disappeared into her closet, I get off the bed, put my shoes back on, and then leave her room. I head to mine, change into my training pants and then head out to the back grass area. I start my stretches while I wait for Scarlett to join me. Once she does, I help her with her stretches again. It still makes me smile with pleasure as I skim my hands over her, helping her stretch. We then move on to a light sparring session.She, of course, doesn't realise it yet, but just for today, I allow her to get me on my back a couple of times. It is the quickest way to bring up her confidence in herself again and it also allows me to enjoy when she sits on top of me to complete the pin. We spend the session not really sparring but playing, laughing and seeing who could pin who the most.I feel as soon as the atmosphere between us changes, I can tell she feels it too, but I don't expect her to freeze halfway through one of her moves. SCARLETT POVI wake up in the morning and stretch. For some reason, my body is pleasantly sore. It feels like one of the mornings after Phoenix or Soren has loved me entirely and completely. I smile a small smile to myself as I get up and notice I don't have my nightdress on but I don't pay any attention to it; I go into the bathroom and have a shower, as I know Serenity and I are going to take the day to get ready for the Blood Moon Ball tonight. I wrap a towel around me and move over to the mirror and scream..."NNNOOOOO!!!"I collapse onto the floor as I break down crying, heavy sobs racking my body. I don't even look up as I am joined by four people in my bathroom doorway. I hear gasps from all of them and just know it is even worse than I saw. I hear whispers and then three sets of feet leave. PHOENIX / SOREN POVI smile to myself at Soren's last statement, as I know how he feels, and I'm glad he finally understands that our first mating with Scarlett could have had a totally different outcome. I just hope I was right about Scarlett, but then she wouldn't be our mate if she wasn't made completely for both of us.I finish in the shower, get out and head into the closet to find first some training pants to wear now and then pull out my Royal suit that Dominic gave me for later. I had one of the maids retrieve it from the city hotel and bring it back here. I lay the suit on the bed and head to the training field.I don't really need to get rid of any energy or anything, but I go through my stretches and then my sparring routine just to kill some time. SCARLETT POVAs soon as Soren shows himself as we are dancing, I can't face him. How can I really face either of them after what happened last night? How can I face them when I actually enjoyed the pleasure given to me by another, I felt so ashamed, I couldn't even look at him, I had trouble holding my head up as we walked into the ball, knowing even after father's punishment for the rumours about us, that they would do it again if they ever knew what had happened.I run off of the dance floor and out of the side door. SCARLETT POVI squeal again in surprise as he sinks his fangs into my shoulder, taking a couple of small pulls of blood, then removing them, swiping his tongue, only to sink them in again a little further along my shoulder. I struggle a little underneath him as he does this a couple more times over my chest before stopping at my neck where he sinks his fangs in, retracts them and drinks deeply.I stop struggling as his drinking is sending pleasure flowing through me. It isn't long before he is swiping his tongue over my neck, sealing his bite. He then moves and sits up on his knees. He pulls me up and slides into me in one movement; he doesn't allow me to put my arms around him. Instead, he twists them so he is holding them tight against my back with one hand, while he uses the other to make me move my hips.I whimper a little as the memory of what those males did using this position comes back to me. PHOENIX POV I wake up to soft kisses being placed on my chest. I look down into Scarlett's beautiful eyes. "Did you sleep well, Butterfly? Soren was good to you last night, wasn't he?" She gives me a small smile and whispers, "I haven't had a good night's sleep like that in months and Soren was very good to me last night and this morning... I have missed both of you. I'm sorry for the night after 'The Punishment'. I did actually want you to kiss me and for you to love me. I was just scared... I think we needed that time on our own though, otherwise, we might not have had the night we just did." I pull her up further on my chest and kiss her, running my hands up and down her back. I smile at the little shivers that run through her from my touch. I then surprise her by deepening my kiss and flipping us over so I am now on top of her.
