Chapter 24

Erica's POV

I clenched my teeth and tried to stop them from chattering that much. I curled on the cold hard marble floor and slithered amidst the blanket. But the sickly thin fabric could hardly protect me from the chill of the floor.

My thought strained towards what happened some hours ago. I can't believe I thought of him as someone with a heart. Like i actually thought of him as a changed person.

I thought I saw a glimpse of concern , and some other feeling that I actually don't know where to place them. And then all of a sudden, he had gone back to his beast mode.

Lashing out at me and sending me scurrying off into the hard floor despite my pitiable condition. I could try to play on his pity, or emphaty but that cold callous man pissed neither.
