Deimos opens his arms wide taking a big step forward to capture me and that is all it takes for me to ignore his sinful warning and run. ~~~ Being born an Alpha female came with its own struggles but being mated to a God, the Alpha of Alphas tore me apart to pieces and shoved me into a neverending cycle of pain, betrayal and heartbreak. Prologue - Alpha
|Alpha Female POV|
As I exit the warmth of my car the air is saturated with testosterone of burly Alpha males addressing one and another in front of the meeting hall. The chatter comes to an absolute stop consumed by an eerie silence as they regard me with bewildered, disgusted and calculating eyes. They know me, they know of my battles and the strength I possess.
Straightening my back, jutting my chin out displaying dominance I stroll through the crowd right into the arena of seats where the conference shall take place and plop down on a random chair.
"Welcome Alphas. The meeting shall commence shortly for he is not yet here, therefore we shall begin when he arrives." As the hall fills up a male's voice alarms us whilst his words blast across the room making my ears perk up to the welcoming.
"Elriam answer me this, who is this wolf talking about? Is this male important?" I question my beta who stands guard behind me.
"Alpha he is..." She begins and abruptly my heart pounds profoundly with anticipation. Something is not right. A sensation that terrifies me but also leaves me breathless.
Before she could conclude her answer a resounding slam of the main door cuts her off, startling all of us. Clamorous heavy footsteps near the hall, the racket of chairs screeching against the floor surge. Alphas leave their seats to kneel upon the marble floor with their heads bowed in reverence.
Who is this male? What kind of power does he hold that even other Alphas bow even before he is in their presence?
I do not get a good vibe for all I smell is trouble.
