chapter 3 I have another option

The taxi stopped in front of Pinny's apartment. After paying for the ride, I went inside. Getting into the elevator, it took me straight to her room. When I reached there, I rang the doorbell. In no time, Pinny opened the door. When her eyes fell on me, she grabbed my hand, pulled me inside, and closed the door. I knew she was going to behave this way. She was too much when it comes to exaggerating things.

"How did the interview go? Did they hire you? You know I've been feeling anxious since you left. Now tell me, how was it?" Pinny said without even catching a single breath.

I sighed as I forced my feet to walk to the couch and sat down. With a frown, Pinny followed me and sat beside me.

"They didn't hire you?" she asked, and I nodded my head. Finding jobs that pay well in City D was very hard, especially for those who only have a Matric without further studies. TZ Operation was the only company that accepted people with Matric only, but unfortunately, they only accepted men and not women. I don't know what to do. Working as a waitress is better, but the money I earn only pays for my rent, and I need 500,000 for my brother's surgery and another 500,000 for his blood transplant. Where on earth will I get so much money in a year? I covered my face with my hands, feeling hopeless.

Pinny moved closer to me and patted my shoulder. "Dolah, did you forget who your friend is? Do you think I will sit here and watch my friend be sad?" Pinny raised her eyebrows. "No way, I can't do that. I've already made arrangements for our second option, and I'm very sure it will not fail. Come on with me, I have a surprise for you." Pinny rose off the couch and pulled me with her, heading to her room. Opening the door, we entered inside. I frowned when I saw wigs, male clothing, and a set of makeup. "What is this, Pinny?" I asked her.

She just smiled and moved to the bed, grabbing a male hair wig into her hands. "This will help you get a job at TZ Operation. It's time to use my profession to help my friend. So your friend, sister, and makeup artist Pinny is going to transform you into a male," Pinny said.

I choked on my own saliva and started coughing hard. Pinny rushed to her hairdresser, grabbing a jug of water. She poured it into a glass and rushed back to me, handing the glass to me. "Have this," she said.

I took the glass of water and gulped it all in one go. After I stopped coughing, I raised my head and looked at Pinny in disbelief.

"What?" she asked, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm just trying to help you and you're not going to refuse to end the discussion."

"Pinny, are you being serious right now?" I asked her in disbelief. "Like seriously? What if I get caught?"

Pinny glared at me with a pinched expression. "And since when did you start to care about getting caught? The Dolah I know is fearless when it comes to her brother, and she would do anything to get the money for his medical bills. You refused my money when I wanted to pay all the bills, and this time I'm not going to let you refuse my help."

I sighed. She was right. She wanted to help me, but I refused. All my problems would have vanished if I had agreed, but I didn't want to take advantage of her because we were friends. Yes, her parents were rich, but she didn't have a good relationship with them. How could I let her get humiliated by her parents? There was no way I was going to agree with her.

Okay, fine. I will do as you say, but we will do it tomorrow morning before I have to leave. Is that okay with you?" I asked her.

"Okay," she said. "But we are going out today, and don't worry about any bills. I got my payment today, so everything is on me," Pinny said.

"Do I have a choice?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

Unfortunately, you don't have any choice. So come, let's get ready," Pinny replied with a smirk.

After an hour, we finished getting ready. I wore a knee-length pink dress with my black hair let down, paired with matching heels and earrings. Pinny, who has blonde hair, wore a red dress with glitter all over it, also paired with matching heels and earrings. The dress suited her well.

"Let's go, we will go to the bar first, then we will go for dinner. How does this sound?" Pinny asked excitedly.

"Great," I said. The two of us left the apartment, heading to the parking lot. We got inside the car and Pinny drove off. After meeting my brother, I wanted to go home and take some rest, but there was no way I could have said no to Pinny. She would have made sure that I didn't disagree.

Tarzan's POV

I gave the guard my car keys to park my car as I headed inside the luxurious bar. Today, I decided not to be in a private suite. I just sat at the corner where no one would notice me, but where I could notice everyone. I just wanted to release all the tension inside of me and drink in peace. Before I could sit down peacefully, Zade appeared out of nowhere, pulled a chair before me, and sat down.

With a frown, I pulled a chair and sat down. "When did you arrive?" I asked.

Zade smirked. "I was following you the whole time, but your mind is too busy to notice anything," Zade said. "From today onwards, you are not going to have sex if you are not married. So if you have come here to find someone to hook up with, better forget it."

"And you think I'm going to do as you say?" I asked, my tone full of sarcasm.

"I'm not the one giving you these instructions, but your grandma said so," Dave said, and my eyebrows lifted. "She also said that if you love her, you're not going to drink and get drunk either."

"What?!" I exclaimed. Seriously, why would my grandmother set such ridiculous rules? I'm 30 years old, for God's sake. How can she treat me like a child? Yes, I didn't want to get married, but I'm a man, and I have needs like every man out there.

"Well, I made a promise to Granny that I'm not going to let you do all those things," Daze said. "I'm going to order water for you." He scanned the bar, looking for a waitress, but his eyes widened when they fell on the entrance, and his mouth fell open. I frowned as I followed his gaze.

Two girls entered the bar, looking hot as ever. For the first time, my heart skipped a beat and my throat went dry when my eyes fell on the girl with a pink dress. My eyes could not believe that the woman I had chased out of my company was so hot like this. Okay, wait, what am I even thinking about? How can I forget so easily that all women are nothing but gold diggers? Maybe the reason she came to my office was to seduce me and take everything from me. My expression is usually stoic, I shouldn't be shaken by someone's beauty so easily. Things that are beautiful from the outside are often rotten from the inside.
