APRIL POV

I stared at the venue where I had been just the day before clutching at my broken phone tightly. There was a huge lump in my throat and my eyes burned.

Unbearable ringing constantly plagued my ears.

Zerah was saying something that I couldn't hear.

I walked carefully around the huge stage, calculating the extent of the damages.

It was all in ruins.

My phone rings. I look down at it. It was Brian.

I don't know why but I picked his call.

"Hello?"

"My dear April. Do you like the present I got you? I gotta say, It gave my boys a hard time but in the end, they got it done.

Did a really good job for the heck of it I must say." He crooned. I look around at all the ruins, forcing myself to stay calm.

"You did this?" I asked and felt like the air was suddenly not enough for me to breathe in. My eyes burned with tears that I promise myself not to shed.
