Christopher had been trying to put his imagination to works at his home office, when Valentine’s call came in. For some reasons, he sensed it was news about Emma. “What’s up?” he had asked Valentine the moment he picked the call, frowning a bit.

“How are you?” Valentine had first asked him, making him nod in response.

“I am well,” he had replied. “You? How are you?”

“Good.”

“SO, what’s up?”

“She was spotted at Starr’s company today. Rumor has it that, she spent time within and Starr was around. So, there is a huge possibility that she might have spoken to Starr.”

Chris moved uncomfortably in his seat. He didn’t like the sound of that at all. He had worked his ass off to get Starr to be his, he didn’t need some crazy ex who hurt him to come ruin a relationship he was building. “SO, you are not certain?”
