The date went fine, or so did Chris think. But, Starr had retreated and recoiled by the time they were on their way back home. She was back to how she was when they were on their way to the restaurant, as quiet as a mouse. Not wanting to ruin things, Chris also kept shut, driving in absolute silence. 

It wasn't long before he was pulling at her place, parking. He had gotten out, so as to quickly move around and help her out. But, Starr didn't give him the chance, again. "I wanted -" Chris had started, but was immediately cut off by Starr's words. 

"Nah, it's aight," she said, keeping it short. 

She began to walk slowly to her door, letting Chris catch up with her, after he had locked his car door. They still hadn't really said anything. Chris wasn't so sure if he had messed up or not. He hadn't said anything, so it was most definite that he hadn't done anything wrong. But, he sti
