THIRTY - FOUR

Not really having any work to do, the girls had had lunch together and spent the rest of their day simply talking. They didn’t talk about anything personal, that would trigger emotions, they revolved around other things and complaints about things of the society. When the bright sky became a hue, Sorcha decided it was high time she left. “Let us have a family meal soon, ehn?”

Starr nodded with a smile as she replied, “That sounds awesome. I would love that.”

Sorcha nodded and stood, picking her handbag.

“How is mom?” Starr had asked, “Is she doing good?”

Sorcha nodded. “Yes she is,” she replied, but quickly added, “Or she is acting like she is. One of the two.”

Starr felt her heart sink. “Soon, we would all see.”

“I am sure she would love that,” Sorcha replied with a nod. “See you soon sis.”

“And you too.”
