"The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets." Unknown.
"How much I have looked for you!" Nylian walked toward the diamond-haired and rested his hands on his shoulders. "I thought I lost you forever."
Jimmy smiled. "I didn't know where to go, so uh, I came here." he lied. He wasn't sure if he could tell him about the voice he heard the last time he got lost.
Taegen stared at them, confused. "Do you know each other?" he asked.
"He was lost and the guard Woozi brought him to my house." the elf answered. "He was so confused and scared." he smiled and caressed the younger's hair.
"He welcomed me and treated me well." Jimmy smiled, staring at the king whose eyes shifted to dark green.
Jimmy couldn't stop thinking about what happened at the castle earlier. He didn't expect the King to ask him to leave them. He thought that their relationship had improved since the evening when they spoke in front of the moonlight, but it seemed that nothing had changed, Taegen didn't care much about their conversation. His thoughts were troubled, that's why he decided to sleep, with the balcony wide opened to let the gentle breeze of the evening caress his skin.He dreamed of creatures with two heads and colours. To know that the change of the King's eyes colour meant something only made him more curious about him. He wanted to know what he felt when he was around him, he wanted to know what blue meant or green."Sir." someone knocked at the door, waking him up."Come in." he stretched his arms and sat on the
Jimmy's eyes grew wider as he restated what the king said in his mind. “You’ve come to see me?” he mumbled in a small voice. “Why?Taegen nervously rubbed the back of his neck and approached him, avoiding his eyes. “Ruvyn and Nieven kept bothering me to apologise to you. They can be very insisting.”
Nylian was still not back from the meeting so he decided to go for a walk.“Karlyle, if the Lord comes back please tell him I only went for a walk,” he told the servant.
Whispers could be heard at every step the king made inside the castle.Everyone was surprised to see him walk, Jimmy in his arms, lifting him bridal style and the young man quietly resting his head against his chest. They did not find it strange just because their cranky king was raising a stranger but mostly because they never saw him do something like this before, not even the late Princess Kythaela."Jimmy?" Ruvyn raised an eyebrow and stared at the King. "What happened to him?""Open the guest room." Taegen ignored his question and followed his servant. He walked in a long corridor, letting Jimmy the chance to admire all the portraits and paintings hung on the walls while listening to his heart beating faster. They arrived at a room and the king gently lied his body on a large bed. "You can rest here."Jimmy shyly
Ruvyn and Nieven headed together to Jimmy's room to wake him up and have breakfast together. The wizard gently knocked and opened the wooden door.“Jimmy wake up—!” Ruvyn widened his eyes when he saw Jimmy sleeping, his head resting on the king's shoulder. They both slept on the little couch in front of the window. The two lovers shared a confused look and kept staring at them. “The king spent the night here?” Nieven whispered, looking at how peaceful Taegen was, his black locks covering his eyes as his head was rested against the wall.“It seems like it.” Ruvyn shrugged. “This is the strangest thing I have seen in so many years.”Nieven nodded and ran his fingers through his long silver hair. “Should we wake them up?” he asked.“I don't think it is a good idea.” Ruvyn shook his head. “I know how embarrassed the king would be.”“Why isn't it a goo
Ruvyn left to help his lover and Jimmy found himself alone once again. He went for a walk around the garden and sat in front of the fountain. He kept reciting each colour's signification to keep them in his memory to understand the king better. From what he could see lately, his eyes mostly shifted to blue when he was around him. He smiled just thinking about the fact that the charismatic king might be shy with him.Jimmy watched the fairies work; some mopping the floor, others cleaning the cutlery or removing the dirty sheets and replacing them with cleaner ones. He admired how they flapped their silver-coloured wings every time they flew from one place to another. They were beautiful and felt bad for those who offered themselves to the Prince of Rosa.He went back inside after a while and headed to the library. He found a book he has been reading when he used to stay in the castle. He laid on the couch and continued the story.A few hours later, Jimmy found hi
A week after, Jimmy and Lord Nylian were having breakfast alone. The table was silent, only the sound of the juice glasses and cutlery setting on the marble table could be heard. The Duke was readingDreamy Day, the number one newspaper in the kingdom. The writers and editors made sure to include all the things that happen daily in Fantasia, such as the next game of Golden Basket; it's the same concept as the regular Basketball game on Earth, except that it's played in the air. The players are mostly fairies or creatures that have wings. They must pass a kind of silver balloon and throw it on the golden basket that floated peacefully in the air. This morning, the main page of Dreamy Day was occupied by the portrait of a young man with pink hair. Jimmy tried to read the title while Nylian read other articles.ROSA'S PRINCE ACCUSED OF MURDER.He remembered the conversation his friends had with King Taegen the previous week. The Pr
Taegen and Nylian had to attend a meeting, so Jimmy stayed alone with Ruvyn in his chambers."What have you done the last week, Jimmy?" Ruvyn asked."I have been reading more books about Fantasia's creatures. I was surprised that there were quite a lot." Jimmy laughed."I know, it is hard to know everything about them all.""I also have been writing other chapters of my story." the young man added."Is it the one you read to me the other day?!" the wizard's eyes shone brightly. "You don't know how much I have been waiting for the continuation of the story. I couldn't stop thinking about what that prince did when he caught his husband cheating on him with the royal secretary. I wished I could be a character in that book to strangle him."Jimmy laughed, seeing how mad his friend was. "I didn't bring the papers today, but I'm coming back here tomorrow with Lord Nylian and I will bring them to read together.""Good idea!" Ruvyn exclaimed. "By th
