Chapter XLIX
The next morning, Jimmy woke up and washed behind the house. He chose a nice outfit and made himself presentable to meet the King.
He ate a small part of the leftover chocolate cake his mother made and drank a cup of milk. He took a look at his parents who were sleeping peacefully on the mattress.
The night before, Ayasinsisted on spending the night with his family. It was awkward and a little uncomfortable, but Jimmy was more than happy to finally have both his biological parents by his side.Before he closed the door after him, he heard his mother whisper, "Good luck son." He gave her a smile and left the cottage.
He wanted to meet Taegen and try to make him remember their love for the last time. If he succeeded, he would stay obviously, but if he fails he would accompany his parents to Rosa and never see him again.
The walk to the lake was long and tiring. He took a little time to rest on a rock and drink the water he brought with him.

The King couldn't wait for a single more second to capture his husband's lips. A ray of sunshine woke him up, Jimmy opened his eyes and found himself facing a blue sky, a colour he had not seen since the beginning of winter.
