Chapter Three

"Where are you going Vada? You have a meeting with Dr. Brad this morning remember?"

"Yeah, I know, Dr. Brad and I are going to be having online classes from today."

She replied as she dragged her last box and dumped it in her car trunk, she met him at the garage because he didn't come back home last night, if he took ten more minutes, he might not have the opportunity to speak with her again, maybe just phone or video calls, the least she would've done was to leave him a hand written letter.

Mr. Williams rested his back on his car as he fiddled with his keys, he bent his head and felt sorry for not talking with Vada last night before leaving, he was actually angry with her for leaving the table and her meal without proper excuses, it was unruly and he knew he trained her to be better than that, she's totally changed, Sarah took the best part of her.

"Vada, I know better to talk you out of this, but I want you to be happy, and I want you to get a job and get a life, I hope you will find purpose in life when you get to Balor."

Vada felt a bit emotional, her father was supportive of her leaving, she thought he was going to be mad at her and order her not to leave but no, he took her unaware and that felt warm, she went to him and hugged him for understanding her, they both needed to try out new things to adjust and bounce back again.

"I love you Dad."

"I love you sweetheart, don't worry, your monthly allowances won't be withdrawn."

"You better not, treat her right dad and make sure the both of you goes for blood check ups, monthly."

Mr. Williams smiled as his eyes fluttered with joy, by her words, he knew Vada has accepted his new lover, she just couldn't stand her yet, she needs a fresh start to be able to wrap her head around that. He totally understands and all he could do for her was to give her his maximum support too, he needs to start listening to her and he hopes she would get over Sarah and make new friends in Balor, she had always wished to live there.

"Bye dad. Have a good life."

She said as she entered her car and zoomed off.

"You too honey."

He muttered as he gazed at the retreating car, hoping for the best.

*************

"Hi miss Williams, the receptionist told me you were looking for me, I am Felix Craig, the agent you've been chatting online with."

"Oh, nice to meet you, Mr. Craig, I got here five minutes ago, let's get going already."

Felix entered her car and they left in quest for a cool apartment.

Hours later.........

"You haven't seen what you like yet? we have literally exhausted our options"

"Nope, I want a to live in a remote place, quiet and cool, that's actually why I came to Balor of all places."

"Yeah I see, it got me wondering, your car alone says you must come from a wealthy family. Turn left let me take you to Ice land then."

"Ice land? Sounds dope."

ICE LAND.

Ice land is strangely a two storey building not even a street, It was the only building standing on its own about nine kilometers away from other buildings and stores, the serenity around the building was solemn and what more, it was insanely beautiful, hence, the name Ice land.

Vada was looking at the building in astonishment, she doesn't even know what to feel.

"Do you like it or should we get going?"

Felix asked not being able to read the card board looks on Vada's face.

"I love it, it's perfect, you have no idea."

"Uhh..Ms. Williams, I genuinely find you weird because, of all the clients I have brought here, you are the only one that has this lovely perception about Ice land. Now each floor has five rooms, upstairs, there is only one occupant, the last floor only has two occupants, you are going to be the fourth person to live here."

"Okay, sounds cool, I would be living upstairs then."

"Good, let's get your stuffs inside already."

Felix helped her to take in all her properties, she paid him online and thanked him for his help.

"I will always be at your service, Ms. Williams, if you need anything, don't forget to text or call me, you will definitely prefer texting, I just observed you don't talk much."

"Alright, thanks a lot. How will you go back to the office since the road is very lonely?"

"One of the reasons people despise Ice land amongst other things, but don't worry about me, they will send me a ride, I already texted them. Oh, just in time!."

Felix exclaimed as he sighted their office ride that was waiting for him already, he gave Vada a curtly handshake and left for his office.

Vada took the room in the middle, she wanted to take the room at the edge of the building but with the tag on it, it was the occupied room Felix was talking about and the other extreme was not a good sight for her, so she decided to stay in the middle. She took her time and turned the room to her taste, she knew she doesn't go out much and would definitely miss the beautiful garden in her father's house, so she took some flowers from it earlier and arranged them in a flower pot making the room lively, her wall papers was beautiful and the room had wardrobe and a nightstand with a bed installed in it, it was relatively small but richly furnished and classy, Vada nodded at the sight knowing very well she didn't waste her two thousand dollars, the room was worth every penny. There was a kitchen in the apartment but she knew it was a waste of space because she was never going to be doing the cooking herself, she already has account with A****n, Jumia and Orderit.com. Anything she would ever need, she would buy it online and it would be brought to her doorstep, including her daily meals.

Looking around the room, amazed at the wonders she created, her phone startled her and she brought it out from her pocket, it was Dr. Brad, she rolled her eyes as she reluctantly picked the call.

"I told you never to call or text me, didn't I?"

"Good afternoon, Vada, your father told me what happened, I'm glad you finally took the bold step, but I forgot to discuss how the sessions would be going on now that you are out of Bridgeton."

"We will be having online facetime classes, automatically set for seven minutes and two days in a week, today's meeting has been cancelled and please ask my dad when this therapy sessions would be over because you are beginning to bore me out."

"Okay, have a good day Vada."

Vada left the room and went in search of a job that very day, she studied animation in Crystone University, she was about to get a job in Hollywood with the help of her dad before the incident happened. Getting a job was not because she wasn't living comfortably, she just wanted to obey her father even in his absence and to also try out new things, she wanted to give it a chance and see how wonderful or boring it would be, also she wanted to have something to discuss whenever her dad calls, because he would definitely be calling.
