Chapter Two

The next day came and the chefs were done preparing meals for the day, for the morning and afternoon at once, when it's time, Mr. Williams would microwave them and take Vada's to her room. Mr.Williams normally do the dishes and the cookings, he derives pleasure doing them because he would always stay in the kitchen and have a nice loving tutor from Sarah, his late wife while they would always yell playfully at Vada to stop playing in the kitchen, after she died, he found the chores refreshing, it always renewed the beautiful memories he shared with her, but when he had so much work to carry out at the same time, he found adding cooking to his routine very difficult, he had to employ the chefs.

**************

They were eating silently at the garden table outside the gigantic white house, Vada decided to join her father and have breakfast that morning and Mr.Williams glowed at that thoughtful act of hers which only happens once in a blue moon. Mr. Williams' phone buzzed at the table and he brought it up and started texting back, his face unconsciously lit up and Vada stretched her neck to know why her father was grinning.

"Who is she?"

Vada asked while her father immediately drop his phone and fetched his cutleries to continue with his meal.

"Just a business ally."

He shrugged amidst his reply, Vada didn't buy that, so she smiled and pressed on.

"Who takes his 'just a business ally' to a night dinner, Mr.Williams?"

Mr.Williams almost choked at his food, like how the hell did Vada find out about that? His face was looking very unsettled as the question bothered his mind.

"Your big sized font and your excessive phone brightness ratted you out, you need to get yourself a medicated spectacles or contacts if you can't deal with specs, you are stressing the heck out of those weary old eyes."

She cleared him as she continued eating as if she was normal.

Mr.Williams moped at his daughter for some seconds not comprehending her type of person, she rarely speaks that much unless she was with him, if that was how much she could speak to him, she would definitely have a bad communication relationship with any other person.

Mr.Williams took a deep breath as he decided to come out clean.

"Listen, Vada, it's been three years since Sarah, your mother passed, I need to move on, you too. I want to be honest with you, this woman I was two minutes ago on the phone with, I want her to be my wife, there is no point hiding her from you, she would soon be living here with us afterall."

At the sound of that, Vada dropped her cutleries as she slowly turned to her father in awe.

"What was that?"

"Vada you heard me, and I know, Sarah would be proud of me, of this decision. I just need you to support me."

"Pft, it's never about her dad, it's always about you. You know, I'm considering Dr. Brad's earlier idea, I definitely need to live on my own, away from your selfish and ungrateful attitude."

She stood up and angrily removed the napkin on her neck and forcefully threw it on the table as she left the garden immediately and stumped into the house.

She had always tried to keep her mom inside the house and in their hearts, but her dad wanted to throw the memories they shared together out of the window, he already removed all Sarah's pictures hanging in his room, anything at all that had a piece of her in it was thrown out of his room, when Vada found out about it, they had a heated up argument, but Williams won. Now he wants to do the worst by bringing another woman into their home? nope, she definitely needs to stay far away from him, if not she would probably lose the remaining part of her shit.

She went straight to her MacBook that was sitting on her bed, she opened it and started browsing about Balor again, she had always wished to go there and live permanently one day but that one day unbelievably became soon, it was one of the smallest and coolest cities around, she got a link for a home agent at the Balor's website and she began chatting online with one of them for the preparation of an apartment, the agent was very elaborate and understanding, he also promised her that he would take her around Balor to pick out a suitable apartment for herself, she had already started packing up her properties, she knew she can't stand the breath and aura of the woman when she finally arrive and it wouldn't be nice to give her a shitty attitude because it is plainly not her fault, she had to carry out the next available option, packing out.

That night around 8:11, her father wore his tux turquoise blue suit and his black Italian loafers as he stepped out with a black Bentley to go get his dinner date lady, she saw him drive out through her window, she couldn't believe her father left without even saying goodbye to her, the fact he never came upstairs when she angrily left the table in the morning to console her flushed her face pale with rage, she roughed up her hair as she sat down at the edge of her bed, brushing her face with her hand in utmost frustration, he was giving her every reason to pack out from his billion dollar mansion, she wanted to leave that night so he would come back and find her room empty, it was a good comeback, but on a second thought, she decided to be the bigger person just for the sake of Sarah.

Her mind was totally made up. Vada was not good with making decisions, but to hell with you when her mind is finally made up because even if heavens came down to talk her out of it, it would unfortunately be a broken record.

She started packing her stuffs and taking it downstairs in the trunk of her black Toyota, she would be leaving early in the morning and there was nothing her father was going to say to make her not leave for Balor.
