MEET MY FRIENDS 2

"OMO, only this short two or three weeks break they give us , you don fine finish"

(Just this two or three weeks break that we were given and you've become this beautiful).

I laughed and pushed her a little.

" As if you don't know you are the most beautiful girl in our group if not our class".

That is the honest truth, Linda, is an epitome of beauty. She is tall, slim, brown skinned,curvy and has a nice flat tommy,infact ,she looked like a model. I am beautiful but compared to Linda ,I can't even get five points. Sometimes I wonder how we became friends because people like her are who we describe as"classic babes".

I and Ella's relationship are quite relatable due to the fact,we both started schooling at Albert High school at the same time. So we kinda bounded fast, it's normal between new students. My school Albert High school (AHS) is the second best school in Lagos and also in Nigeria at large. I transferred from Imo state to Lagos,back then in when I was still at Imo State,my family were rich but not extremely rich. Back then my father worked for a rich popular company that deals with Electronics and the pay was really good

So the wanted to expand there business to other states,so the transferred my father to Lagos, given that my father grew up there. Gave us a house,car and took care of one his child's fees which happened to be me and that's how I landed in this school. Back then, something happened that made my father loose his job and we eventually lost everything. I thought I would change school but my father is a hardworking man , he was persistent that I finished my academics here in this school due to not all school was like Albeit High school . We had help from my father's elder brother who is in Dubai. He took care of Precious and Kings school fees so my father had to worry about mine and my family expenses , he usually send them money on monthly bases for there upkeep.

The luck we had back then was that my father and mother met in Lagos. Actually my mom is a Yoruba woman and my father an Igbo man . So my father had his in own house in Lagos which is the one we presently live in . Although it's not a big house we still manage it with hopes that one day we get a bigger one. Albert High school is a rich school,their fees were million plus . Imagine, paying two hundred thousand every three months and now, with me being in my final year,things are now much.

After getting some snacks we went and sat in the school garden we continued discussing about our holiday as we munched on our snacks

"So gist me,any new guy “

I dropped my snacks and turned to face Linda who had an excited look on her face and sighed . Does she really think I plug men from trees or what? Whenever we get back holiday all she asks is if I have new man.

"Linda, you and guy. I told you I didn't travel,so who's there to no one to meet".

She pouted at my remark not satisfied with my answer and continued asking

"Even at that, don't tell me your street doesn’t have any cute boys there"

I gave her the "are you serious "look, seriously,this girl this girl is gonna be the death of me one day. When she saw that I wasn’t ready to talk to her she decided to drop it or so I thought until she dropped any other one

"Fine, forget about it,I forgot you had James"

She said and giggled, I would have replied her but the bell immediately rang signaling the end of break so I stood up and decided to just heard to class instead of answering .

During second break which was lunch break ,we went over to the school cafeteria. I ,Linda and Ella choosing our choice of meal as we discussed within ourselves mainly being Linda doing the talking which is about her visit to London, Trust rich people to know how to spend a vacation.

"Yours is even better,you traveled Abroad, I had to visit my uncle who lives in Jos and trust me it was hell".

Ella said and trembled the experience might have been hell for her cus the face she made me feel goosebump,as we made ourselves comfortable in our usual seating position .

"Which of your uncles"

I asked getting interested in the topic and trying to get the full picture of the story, you hardly see Ella talk about her family so,this one she's openly talking about I wouldn't miss out in it .

"The one I told you guys that got married newly"

She said and I wore a shocked expression because she never told us anything concerning her who just got married.

"Actually,you never told us"

For a moment I saw Linda square face.

“You mean I didn’t tell you guys about it”

When I and Linda nodded she just shrugged it off ,Ella stared at us agape , guess she is also questioning herself but that expression didn't last for a minute cause it's gonna after that moment.

" Well, am telling you now"

She pointed out straightly as she bites into her meat pie

"I thought you said,you will be traveling to your mom's hometown? What happened?"

"That was the plan until my father decided to ruin it . He just likes controlling my life and I don't like".

That's a surprise, her dad does that.

" You know , you guys should learn to be thankful. At least you spent your holiday somewhere,what about me".

I asked and pointed myself and Ella just rolled her eyes.

"My dear, yours is better than mine okay. If I had stayed at home,locked myself in my room and feed myself junk. Chat and sleep then I would have been thankful to my parents ".

She said and smiled to herself as if she is reminiscing something. Ella always told me how she wished she could switch life with me that she would be the happiest girl on earth. To me, she had everything,money, parents, although not beautiful. What could she possibly want in my messed up life ,unlike Linda whose parents didn't give a damn about her then I would have said she seeked love and attention but she didn't seem to like someone who lacked those either so,what is that which she seeks for that she couldn't share with us cause looking at Linda,she has the same expression as I do . I mean why wouldn't we be surprise, with Ella's bold attitude you wouldn't know what she's going through,cause ,she wouldn't let you know even if you asked ,she would try to switch the topic and that's what I've noticed from her and what I don't understand is why she keeps doing that ,moreover,

"A problem shared is a problem half solved. Right?".
