I was told, my name is Tiara.I hate that name with all the nerves I've got. Sometimes I sit down and wonder, was it my father that suggested it or my mother and why? But I would never know because I really never met them, now that is a story for another day. I saw myself growing up in an orphanage home run by the Reverend Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary popularly called, IHM briefly.They were a religious group of nice people who thought it wise to fangle a foundation under the church. Their successful mission was to provide a home for many of the homeless kids that plagued the ghetto streets of Ajelli. That brief phone call he had with his so-called boss provoked an anxious button in my heart. I felt my skin creeping and my conscience woke up to torment me. Driving into the city, I wished someone informed me earlier to lower my expectations.The experience was rather cold and aggressive and contrarily to what I expected.A group of policemen in their liveries stopped our car and ferociously requested for Malika's papers which he confidently took out from the pigeonhole and handed them, to my utmost surprise, they weren't really after the papers, they were after his money and could have taking a charge from him as a sort of compromise had it been they were expired or he didn't have them.Left with no other option, they became humble instantaneously."My man, please. When Malika left for downstairs, I felt like chasing after him but then, I wanted this so I had to face it, head on. Before dawn, I saw myself pretty much awake.I hardly slept, I was troubled.So many 'what ifs' running around my mind like bugs;What if Boss Kanata does not find me appealing to work for him?
