Chapter 10: What's going on here?

Natasha hurriedly drove to her house, in the block she leaves, she quickly changed into normal office wear.

It wasn't like she wanted to look her best for him but who knew, he might even promote her for her dressing.

She picked up her car keys from the table and her phone, she quickly texted her brother and left for the office where she worked.

After twenty minutes, she arrived at the office, she gazed around trying not to catch anyone's attention.

She quickly went up the elevator to his office, she stared at the door of his office and breathed a sigh before she came in looking beautiful.

Alec, who was busy with his laptop, had no idea that a woman was in his office. He had a stoic expression as he gazed at his laptop.

"Umm…Sir…" She felt kinda uncomfortable as she started the discussion.

Only then did he turn to gaze at her, he arranged his documents and looked at her strangely.

"Cindy? Why are you late?" His tone was fearful, making her almost lose her balance.

She tried to think of a lie, she couldn't just tell him that she was busy at her kids school, right?

She calmed herself down, "traffic held me down, I am so sorry sir." She bowed.

He seemed to have brought the lie, "This is your first day in working as my assistant, get me a cup of coffee, I will be back soon" He left the office.

She sighed; before going to the mini kitchen, within minutes she was done with the coffee.

She placed the hot coffee on the table as she stared around not knowing what else to do.

The door opened and someone she hated all her life came in, the dress hinged greatly on her body making her look like a model.

Her black hair was braided to a side, giving her a pretty vibe, looking so hot and formal in her dress.

Natasha gritted her teeth in disgust as she stared at Haylee, she wanted to rip her face apart, wasn't Haylee married to Alec now?

Wasn't she pregnant with his child? Just thinking about all that made her almost puke, the hatred she had for him increased another mile.

"Hello, what can I do for you? Do you have an appointment with the CEO?" She said formally to her.

"No, I just want to see Alec and who are you?" Haylee eyed her with anger.

"I am the CEO's assistant," She tried to force a smile, but it just ended as a smirk.

No one could know how far her length of hatred for this woman was, she hated her with all her might, thank goodness she didn't recognise her either.

Her words made Haylee more furious, she bellowed in anger as she pointed dangerously at her.

"Damn you," She raised her hands at her, but Natasha didn't seem affected.

She relaxed and leaned on the office table, she just stared at her with anger clearly written all over her face.

"Mrs. Haylee, I would advise you not to cause a scene, the CEO is busy and would not be meeting your demands, kindly come another day when he is available," An unseen smirk appeared on her face as she said those words.

Haylee was infuriated and that was for sure, who was this old piece of junk? and why is she messing with me?

She raised her hands up to slap her but she dodged it, of course, Natasha didn't want to be the weak one.

Back in school, Haylee had been a pain in the butt for her, she was always after her for one cause or the other and she hated it.

Haylee would always bully her simply because she loved Alec then? Was it a crime to love? To love someone and later end up being crushed?

Tears were starting to form in the corner of her eyelids, she wanted to let it all out, but no, she had to be strong for her sake.

"Mrs. Haylee, I would further advise you to leave, you might warrant the anger of the CEO if you stay longer". She was trying to be infuriated and that clearly was working.

"Do you know who I am?" Haylee gritted her teeth in anger, as she pointed at her.

Haylee took the cup of coffee that was placed neatly on the table, she looked at her and threw it at her hand.

The hot coffee bruised her skin lightly, Natasha widened her eyes in surprise, the coffee burned her skin lightly.

Thank goodness, the coffee was already warm and hence, it only bruised her skin a little.

Natasha smirked as she looked at her, though she felt a little pain due to the coffee, she tried her best to keep it in.

She held her phone up, "I know who you are, you are Haylee, award winning model." A huge smirk spread across her lips.

"You are seen as the best in everyone's eyes, always the kindest and modest, I don't think they would love to see the kind of character that you truly have cause I got everything on camera,"

Haylee almost snapped into two, her head banged her slightly, she panicked inwardly, trying her best to calm herself down.

"Please, I am sorry, delete the photo," She begged, if the public heard about her inhumane character, she would be humiliated.

"Who could have thought that the almighty Haylee could actually beg someone?" She bursted into laughter. 

"What's going on here?" Alec's sharp voice boomed in the room.
