Tara Blakewood POV

“I told you, your little outbursts in front of me… they won’t do you any good. Don’t mention your fiancé.”

I followed the path of his hands as they moved toward my face. Then he placed both palms on my cheeks, his thumbs gently wiping away the few tears that remained.

I thought he might apologize for what he did to my poor thigh, but this was what he said instead. He pulled his hands away from my face roughly. I crossed my arms and turned my gaze to the other side, resting my bag on my lap.

“Don’t toy with me, damn it!”

“And who said I’m toying?”

I answered shortly, “You!”

“Move that bag.”

I looked at him as he commanded me, and his gaze was truly frightening, as if it carried a threat on its own. I moved the bag aside and placed it behind me.

I followed his hands as they reached into the car drawer. He pulled out a small tube of ointment, which immediately made my mind spin in two directions: first, he might put it on my thigh, and second, that wasn’t just ointment—it was a sexual lubricant. Maybe he was planning to assault me now.

He dabbed a little on the tip of his right index finger and brought his hand toward the area still marked by his fingers. Relief washed over me; the second possibility seemed unlikely.

“Disobey me again, and I’ll put these marks somewhere much softer.”

I didn’t respond. I was too shocked by what he implied he meant my ass. He pressed the cold ointment on my thigh, spreading it slowly, adding more.

“Any movement you make will not work in your favor.”

He rubbed his palm, slowly spreading the ointment. Each stroke sent a sharp tingling down my lower stomach. His movements were teasing, and what made it worse were his eyes, studying me, testing my facial expressions.

I turned my face away, but his hand returned, forcing me to look at him. I found myself staring into his deep black eyes, while his touch on my thigh made it impossible to look away completely.

His touch was intoxicating.

“Kaiden, stop. That’s enough!”

I was surprised. This time, he actually listened. He pulled away and put the ointment back. He restarted the car, and we moved on.

About fifteen minutes passed, and we talked about random things. I always started the conversation; he spoke little.

“I see you’re not much of a talker, Mr. Kaiden.”

My sitting position in his car wasn’t exactly proper, but it was comfortable. He glanced at me, then back to the road.

“Few words are best.”

His voice carried a hint of authority, almost tempting.

“If you don’t like talking, why did you choose a lawyer?”

I shifted to the side this time, trying to avoid another awkward moment.

I noticed him exhale.. a sound that seemed either sad or angry. I couldn’t tell. The man beside me was incredibly mysterious, hiding everything behind those dark eyes. I thought perhaps that was part of his success.

We arrived.

Did he not want to discuss his work? As a perceptive, understanding person, I respected his choice to change the subject. I turned to look out the window. The scenery had become like a secluded forest, yet the air was refreshing. The place didn’t feel eerie or frightening—perhaps because I was with Kaiden.

He stopped the car.

“We can’t go further,” he said, getting out. I just stared at him from the windshield.

We moved closer, and I could see the beauty of the mansion. Truly stunning, with many glass walls revealing the elegance of the interior and the furniture.

“Mr. Kaiden, what is this place?”

I asked, curious why such a mansion existed in the middle of a forest, and whether he liked to stay here alone.

“You know that place where a person feels completely at ease?” His voice was calm.

“Yes, I know it, Mr. Kaiden.”

“This is that place for me. I call it my Blue Paradise.”

His tone remained calm, yet there was an intensity in the way he looked at me. I stopped walking.

I don’t know why, but I loved the way he gazed into my eyes.. it felt strangely pleasant.

“Forget that word ‘toy’ that slipped from my mouth before. You’re far more than that.”

He said this as he moved toward the mansion door.

“Why did you bring me with you, if you like sitting here alone?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.”

I wanted to know now, but I decided to be patient just this once. I turned to him, finding that he had already been watching me.

“This place is truly beautiful.”

“Follow me.”

He led the way up the steps, and I followed.

“I’m glad you like it.”

“You can wear this and sleep in this room. I’ll be in the next room if you need anything.”

He said it while looking into my eyes. His gaze wasn’t confusing or tense, it made me feel comfortable in a strange, soothing way. I smiled, taking his hand lightly.

“Thank you, Mr. Kaiden.”

He walked toward the door. I couldn’t tell why, but he seemed incredibly calm perhaps the place itself affected him.

He muttered as he reached the door, turning toward me:

“I want to tell you something, Tara!”

  • Daddy’s Best Friend, My Ruin   My First Kiss

Tara Blakewood POVI began moving slowly, letting the first rays of morning sunlight seep into the room, reaching my window and my eyes.Last night’s events came rushing back to me. I glanced to my side. Kaiden was still asleep. His slumber looked beautiful and tempting at the same time. For a moment, I felt as if he were my husband. I think it was because of the way his hands had held my waist so snugly, and how I had relaxed around him, allowing myself to slip out. I moved completely away, placing the blanket over him.My eyes wandered here and there, searching for the kitchen. I didn’t go straight to it, not yet, to make something. I grabbed an apron hanging there and put it on.I turned to fetch a chair to add height, hoping to reach some ingredients I needed. But I didn’t get far. Kaiden’s body appeared at the top of the stairs, bare-chested, looking at me with a gaze I couldn’t decipher.“Good morning, Mr. Kaiden.”I said, trying to lighten the mood, though his gaze burned me.H

Tara Blakewood POV“You can think of me as your dad!”Kaiden said, waiting for my reply.“What?”“You’re my friend’s daughter. He sent you to me because he trusts me. Instead of saying ‘Sir,’ just call me Daddy!”I didn’t think much. I just found myself nodding in agreement as he left my room with a smile. I thought about taking a shower, but I was too tired to move.I walked toward a door to check if it was a bathroom. I stripped off my underwear, imagining him walking in and seeing me like this, exposed but I didn’t care.I stepped into the shower, scrubbed my body thoroughly, rinsed off the soap, and stepped out. I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around my body, and used a smaller towel to dry my hair.I was going to wear underwear, but it bothers me while sleeping, so I left it on the edge of the bed and grabbed a shirt to wear.I forgot to turn off the light. I got up to switch it off but got distracted by the balcony. My staring was interrupted by a sound a little scary, but for me,

Tara Blakewood POV“Kaiden, anyone could see us like this. Stay away from me.”I felt his hands on my waist, holding me, moving against my skin in intimate circles. Ethan had tried something similar, but I never allowed it.He pulled his hand from my waist and moved it to the left side of my neck. A new, intense sensation settled in me, twisting deep in my stomach. My whole body froze as he lowered the collar of my shirt. He began spreading sinful breaths across the skin of my neck. I felt his hand, which had moved my hair aside, creeping down to my thigh over the skirt. His touch sent shivers straight through me.Something soft pressed gently against my neck, right into the hollow. Damn... was he kissing me? Not just once, but multiple times.Suddenly, his words echoed in my mind: “I was just playing with you.”I gathered the scattered pieces of myself. His hand would have gone lower, but I stopped him. Tara Blakewood POV“Since you went against me, I’ll show you something you never expected, Tara.”Kaiden said this while his breath seemed to numb my mind and all my senses. I kept my composure, though.Being close to him felt dangerous, and I didn’t like it one bit. I quickly pulled my hand away from under his.I wanted to escape, but I didn’t even turn before he opened the secretary’s office door, gently pushed me inside, then followed and closed the door without using a key.“Mr. Kaiden, stop! Your secretary might come in at any moment.” I said, looking at anything but him.“If this is her office, it’s also my company, Tara Blakewood.”There was no room for argument now. He was right. He stood only a few inches away. His hand, placed beside my head, made me shift my gaze toward him.I closed my eyes tightly, squeezing them, and my body started to tremble. I clutched the edges of my skirt, pressing it hard. My hands were sweaty—I could bet some drops had slipped onto my forehead—and
