Quill's POV

I sat in my tent, lost in my thoughts:

“I have been away for months, searching for the missing girls and now I’m faced with an even greater challenge: my marriage to Ava. The future of the Blue River Clan is at stake. It feels as if a weight—the weight of this responsibility—is pressing down on my shoulders.”

I stood up. “Without marrying Ava, there’s no way I can become the alpha of the Blue River Clan. The agreement between my family and Ava's was always clear: I married Ava and together we’d inherit the throne. It’s a tradition that has been practiced for generations.”

I sighed. “I’ve always dreamed of becoming an alpha and I was so close to it but now it’s appearing difficult to achieve—unless I can bring Ava back of course.”

These thoughts haunted me day and night. I began to lose sleep, but with tosses and turns.
