Chapter 14

Ava`s POV

I finally left the elevator cheeks blazing red at what we had just done in a company elevator! And Damien, he had confessed and told me that he wanted me.

But I had rejected him.

Truthfully, I wanted him too. He just had this way of bringing my body to life in ways that no one had ever done.

But still, I was scared.

I was scared to have my heart broken again. And with him I knew the pain of heartbreak would be worse, for I could see myself falling hard for him. It was better to end it right now before it was too late. Plus men like him would have thousands of women vying after him and I could not compete with that.

I first headed for the bathroom and cleaned myself up.

Once done, I came out feeling confident again.

The only relationship going to be between me and Damien Payne would be a boss employee professional relationship. And nothing more.

Luckily for me, it was already closing time, with everyone having left already.
