Chapter two

As Idris entered his luxurious home, he was greeted by the sweet aroma of home-cooked food and the sound of his girlfriend Natasha’s laughter. He was caught in between two emotions, grateful that Maria's food greeted his nostril and angry that Natasha was around.

“Good evening babe”, Natasha greeted with a smile formed at the corner of her lips.

As he made his way toward the living room, he noticed his housemaid, Maria, cleaning up the dining table. He walked up to her and greeted her with a smile.

"Good evening, Maria. How was your day?" Idris asked.

Maria looked up from her work and smiled back at him. "Good evening, sir. It was good. How was your day at work?"

Idris sighed and shook his head. "Long and tiring as usual, but it's good to be back home. Natasha, how was your day?"

Natasha looked up from her phone and smiled at Idris. "It was good, thanks for asking. I spent most of the day at the charity event, and I met some amazing people."

She extended her hand in his direction, signaling him to come.

Idris walked over to Sophia and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead. "I'm glad to hear that. What did you do at the event?"

She began talking while Idris just looked at her, not in admiration but with no feeling attached. He had been in a relationship with Natasha for a few months now, but it was a relationship of convenience more than anything else. They both knew they were using each other - she for his money and influence, he for her connections in the business world. There was no real affection between them, no real connection. It was all about what they could get from each other.

As they continued their conversation, Maria quietly went about her work, listening to their conversation with interest. She had been working for Idris since he was young and had seen him go through his ups and downs. But she wondered why he and Natasha seemed not so happy again. She couldn't help but feel pity for him as he had no love in his heart anymore. At least, she was grateful for her job in his beautiful home.

Idris stood at 6'3" tall with a chiseled jawline and piercing green eyes. He was a self-made billionaire with a net worth of over $5 billion. Idris had made his fortune through his technology company which revolutionized the way people accessed and shared information. He had built the company from his illegitimate business, sex trafficking. Not many people knew that he was capable of that terrible crime.

Idris was a man of two sides. On one hand, he was a successful and charismatic entrepreneur, the owner of a rapidly growing tech company that was changing the face of the industry. On the other hand, he had a dark side, a side that was capable of terrible and wicked deeds. He secretly led a sex trafficking ring in Ontario.

Idris had always been driven to succeed. He grew up in a rough neighborhood, surrounded by poverty and violence. But he was determined to make something of himself, to rise above his circumstances and build a better life. He poured himself into his studies, excelling in math and science, and eventually landed a job at a prestigious tech company.

But Idris was never content to be just another employee. He wanted to be in control, to be the master of his fate. So he took a bold step, started a sex trafficking ring gradually, and founded his own tech company, pouring all of his time, energy, and resources into making it a success. And it worked.

The company grew and thrived, and Idris became a household name in the industry. But, he didn't just stop at the tech company. He continued growing the trafficking ring till it became the largest.

But as Idris's success grew, so did his darker tendencies. He became obsessed with power and control, willing to do whatever it took to maintain his position at the top. He was ruthless in his business dealings, willing to crush anyone who stood in his way. And in his personal life, he was even worse. He had a quick temper, prone to violent outbursts that left those around him scared and shaken. Natasha felt it the most since she was the closest to him.

But there was another side to Idris as well. A side that was generous and kind, willing to help those in need and make a positive impact on the world. He donated large sums of money to charity, volunteered his time to mentor young people, and used his company's resources to launch programs that helped disadvantaged communities.

Despite his success in the business world, Idris was a man of few words. He rarely gave interviews or attended public events, preferring to keep a low profile.

One day, while attending a charity gala, Idris met Natasha. Natasha was a stunning brunette with a contagious smile and a bubbly personality. They struck up a conversation, and Idris found himself drawn to her warmth and charm.

As the night went on, Idris and Natasha found themselves laughing and talking as if they had known each other for years. When the gala ended, Idris offered to drive Natasha home. She accepted, and they spent the ride talking about their passions and dreams.

He could swear that there was something beautifully different about her from the other women that he had been with. After that night, Idris and Natasha began dating. They were the perfect couple – Idris, the wealthy and powerful businessman, and Natasha, the CEO of a beauty spa/salon, and a beautiful and charismatic socialite. They traveled the world together, visiting exotic locations and attending glamorous events.

However, as the months went by, Idris realized he could no longer be with Natasha.

“Babe, are you even listening to me?” Natasha said calmly, rubbing his hands.

Immediately, Idris zoomed out of his thoughts and came back to the present.

“Sorry about that. I'm really exhausted. Work has become more hectic now that we are at the top of other tech companies”.

“You both can come to the dining table now. Food has been served”, Maria said as she stood by the entrance of the living room.

“Thank you, Maria”, Idris said with a fake smile.

Natasha was the first to get up and head to the tank while Idris sat on the couch staring into space.

“Idris”, Maria screamed. “Dining table”, she muttered again, pointing in the direction of the dining table.

He got up and walked sluggishly to the table. He pulled out a chair and sat on it.

“I was telling you about the charity event”, Natasha said as she cleaned the corner of her life with a paper towel.

“Yes, we'll talk more about it after dinner”, he answered.

Idris had been on edge all day. He was trying to keep it together while having deliciously made dinner with Natasha, but his phone kept buzzing with messages and missed calls. He knew what it was about - one of his boys was running a risky job, and they needed him to give the go-ahead. He didn't want to involve Natasha in his shady dealings, so he excused himself and stepped outside to take the call.

Natasha was suspicious about his attitude but waved off the thoughts immediately. It wasn't her business what Idris was up to.

"Yo, what's up?" Idris answered, trying to sound casual.

"It's bad, man," his boy replied. "We got caught in the act, and the cops are on our tail. We need a way out, ASAP."

Idris could feel his heart racing as he tried to come up with a plan. He looked behind him to see if Natasha or Maria were around. "Where are you now?", he asked as he stepped forward, rubbing his forehead in confusion.

"We're heading towards the docks, but we need a diversion. Can you call in some backup?"

Idris knew he had connections, but he didn't want to involve anyone else in this mess. "I'll see what I can do. Just keep moving and stay out of sight."

He hung up the phone and quickly scanned the area for any suspicious activity. He could see a police car in the distance, from the balcony where he stood and his nerves started to get the best of him. He needed to think fast.

He called in a favor from an old friend and arranged for a fake bomb threat to be called to the police station. He hoped it would be enough of a distraction to get his boys out of harm's way.

As he waited for confirmation that his plan had worked, his phone buzzed again. It was Natasha, wondering where he had gone.

"I'm sorry, that was work. I'm coming to you now”.Idris said.

He rushed back inside and headed to the dining table but Natasha had disappeared.
