I ran as fast as I could from the school. Tears streamed from eyes blurring my vision. Before I knew it I was crossing territory lines into my uncle's territory, The Blood Moon Pack. He took over after my grandfather's pack after my mother killed him.
I hadn’t been over here since I was a little girl. But for whatever reason I always felt more at home when I was at my uncle Thomas’s pack-house. I called him my uncle because calling him my cousin was weird since he was so much older than I. We always had a great bond regardless of whatever family drama that happened in the past. My mom refused to explain what happened and why she killed my grandfather.None of the pack warriors stopped me as I climbed up the porch steps.“Welcome back Miss Quinn, it’s been a long time.” Sam, one of the guards said with a smile. I saw his eyes glaze over so I knew he had mind-linked my uncle. As I walked through the front door of the pack house I was greeted with a big smile from my uncle Thomas. He was taller than I remembered. He had to be at least 6” 6’. He had bright green eyes like myself and dirty blonde hair. I guess those traits ran in the family.“Why hello stranger,” his voice was deep and calming. He walked up to me and braced me in a hug. It was at that moment I lost it. I crumbled in his arms.He looked down at me with a concerned look “Quinn, what’s going on? Are you okay? Does your mum know you are here?” I shook my head, unable to respond through the sobs escaping me. He rubbed my back, “it’s okay, shhhhhh, it’s going to be okay.” He guided me to the living room and motioned to the couch for me to sit. He sat across from me in his armchair. His elbows on his knees as his hands rubbed together.I wiped the tears on my cheeks. “I’m…I'm sorry. I just ran and ran and ended up here.”“You are always welcome here kiddo, you know that. I’m so happy to see you, although I hate seeing you this way. What happened?”I sniffled and nodded. “I don’t belong there. I’m a freak,” I explained. My head is going in my hands.I could feel my mother trying to mindlink me but I pushed her out.“Don’t say that. What happened?” He asked with a concerned look. Before I could answer his phone rang. “I will be right back. I will have Melissa bring you some tea and tissues.” He said while pulling his cell out of his pocket and walked out of the room.I pushed my shoes off and grabbed the faux fur throw blanket that was folded on top of the couch. Melissa came into the room in a matter of minutes. She was a peculiar looking woman. She was short and pear shaped. Her curly strawberry blonde hair was up in a clip with some curls hanging in her face. She had huge lensed glasses that made her eyes look magnified. It was hard not to smile when she walked in. “Hi my sweet, Alpha sent me to you.” She placed the tray of tea on the coffee table. “I also brought some Of these,” pointing to some fresh chocolate chip cookies.”“Thank you Melissa.” I said with a half smile grabbing a cookie. I sat for a while wondering where Thomas went. Melissa had gone back to the kitchen working on some recipes. I got up from the couch and began walking to the bathroom when I heard an angry voice coming from Thomas’s office.“Yes she’s here and she is safe,” I peered in through the ajar door and saw Thomas pacing. Clearly not happy.“No, I have no idea what happened. You’re her mother and the fucking Alpha shouldn’t you know what’s going on?!”I could hear muffled screams on the other end of the phone which obviously was my mother.“Well I didn’t know that happened. Maybe if you actually told her the truth about her family and herself she wouldn’t be calling herself names and would actually understand how unique she is!” He screamed at my mother.I had no idea what he was talking about. I quietly backed up from the door. Accidentally running into Melissa. “Oh my dear!” She gasped with her hand on her chest and the other on my arm. “What are you doing over here?”“Bathroom?” I asked. Although I knew she saw me eavesdropping. She pointed to the door across the hall. I nodded and started walking to the bathroom. As I approached the door, Thomas walked out of his office breathing hard. Rubbing his hand down his face. He looked up and jumped when he saw me. “Quinn, you good?”I nodded and pointed to the bathroom.“Right, I’ll meet you back in the living room. Your mom called. She will be here in an hour.” He said, pinching the bridge of his nose.“Of course she is,” I said, annoyed while walking into the bathroom. When I walked out of the bathroom and headed back to the living room, I was greeted with a warm smile from Thomas. He stood near his mini bar pouring himself some whiskey.I raised an eyebrow at him. “I get one of those right?” I asked, trying not to giggle; fully knowing the answer.“Your mother already wants blood. Best we don’t dig ourselves a bigger hole Huh?” he said, topping off the glass.“So are you going to tell me why you were so upset that you ran 15 miles from school to here?I looked at my hands. Not really knowing where to start and shrugged.“I can’t help if you don’t tell me kiddo. You came here for a reason. What's up?” He asked, sitting on the other side of the couch.“I don't really know where to start.” I mumbled.“Just start wherever you feel like was the breaking point,” he responded.I explained to him the vision I saw and how I was somehow able to shatter all the glass in the room and also explained the other weird situations I found myself in.He just nodded and listened intently. I could tell he wanted to say something but instead just continued to sip on his whiskey. He was about to say something when I heard my mom's car pull into the driveway. I huffed, annoyed, not wanting to deal with the storm that was about to blow in.I saw Sam, Thomas’s Beta, open the door as my mom stormed through the door. Her anger could be felt all the way to the living room. I looked down at my knees averting her dagger eyes.My father followed behind her with worry written all over his face. She stood right in front of the sofa “There you are! Care to share with the class why the fuck you are here and why you left school and why you kept pushing me away from the mindlink?!” She screamed. My father put his hand on her shoulder and I could tell that it relaxed her a little from the corner of my eye.I couldn't meet her eyes. I felt ashamed, embarrassed, and just wanted her to be welcoming like Thomas. After a few moments of not answering me I felt her alpha aura come off of her slamming into me. “You best be answering some of these questions Quinn! What the hell?! Do you realize how scared we were?!”I clenched my jaw, trying not to submit to the command from her aura. I looked up at her with tears filling my eyes.“Anna, quit it, you are hurting her!” Thomas yelled, hopping off the couch and kneeling near me.Reluctantly my mother took away the command, my entire body relaxing. I tried to catch my breath.“I’m sorry,” I whispered, moving my eyes back to my knees.Thomas stood up, “Anna, a word in my office please?”“That's Alpha Anna Pierce, to you.” My mother spit back.Thomas rolled his eyes, “we can play the who’s dick is bigger contest later, Alpha. My office please.”She huffed and left the room while my father stayed behind and sat next to me. “Baby, what's going on?” he said in a soft tone, wrapping me in his arms. His scent is soothing just like Thomas.“Dad, I can’t…. I can't go back to that school. Please don’t make me.” I cried looking up at him. His brows furrowed and he kissed me on the temple.“Does this have anything to do with the property damage that happened at school today?” he asked. I nodded in return as more tears fell down my cheeks.“I didn’t mean to dad, I swear. I can’t explain what happened. I don’t understand it myself…..they all think I am a freak and are afraid of me. I’m afraid of myself!” I explained. He rubs my arm trying to comfort me.“Well hopefully we can get some answers for you tonight honey.”Anna POV I was beyond pissed. Not only did I have the principal up my ass about property damage but now I had to go to the one place that I despised and destroyed me. I followed Thomas into his office, standing near the door so I would have an easy escape. I had come to terms with our history but I still felt uneasy being near him. “What Thomas,” I said, annoyed, crossing my arms over my chest and tapping my foot. He looked up to the ceiling and huffed. “For once can we cut the animosity and talk like adults?” He asked, looking defeated. I knew he felt horrible for everything but I couldn’t help how angry I was. He motioned his hand to the chair that was across from his desk. “Please Anna, will you sit so we can discuss, our, I mean Quinn.” I sat in the chair reluctantly and was happy he didn't say our daughter or else he knew I would go off the deep end. Quinn still did not know that Thomas was her biological father and I wanted to keep it that way; however I had a feeling that
I woke up to my dad putting me in my bed before tucking me in. like he did when I was little. “Dad?” I asked yawning. “We are home honey. Tomorrow you will have off from school. Your mother and I think it's time that you know some things about the family that we think will help give you some answers that you are seeking.” He whispered before kissing my forehead.“Wait what things?” I asked with a concerned look on my face. He stood up and headed to the door. “I promise everything will make sense tomorrow. Please just promise me that no matter what you know that I love you and will always protect you.” “I promise dad, you're scaring me.” I said I panicked. “Don’t be scared honey. I love you and I will see you in the morning.” As he walked out my mother walked in and sat on the side of the bed. Before she could say anything Ryan came running into the room in his dinosaur pajamas and hopped into bed next to me. The kid clearly had a dinosaur obsession. “Quinn, where were you?” he a

I looked at her and silence mid chew, absolutely mortified at her words. My dad looked nervous and looked out at the floor as my mom said the next few words. “Your father is not your biological father.” I looked up at her horrified at what she just said. “I’m sorry what?” I asked with some pancake falling out of my mouth.“Unfortunately before your father and I met, I was already pregnant and I didn’t know. I was out with your aunties and on my way home I was attacked and drugged. I didn’t realize that when I was knocked out that I had been taken advantage of.”she looked away from me, unable to look me in the eye. I could see her try to hold back tears as she was reliving some memories that she wanted to forget. My dad, who wasn't my dad, put his hands on my mother’s shoulder and did a little squeeze. Still not meeting my eyes.
I was in a hospital room, with nurses all around me. I realized that I was looking through my mothers eyes. This was her memory. A blood curdling scream left my lips as another contraction washed over. I could feel everything my mother felt. Tears streaming down my face, “where is he?!” I yelled searching for my mate, only my mothers voice came out instead of mine.“He is on his way, Alpha, keep breathing. You got this Anna.” One of the nurses said to me,After pushing for what seemed for hours a cry echoed through the room taking their first few breaths. Dr.Zane placed the baby, who I realized was me, in my arms just as my dad Dean rushed through the operating doors. He placed his hands on his knees bending over trying to catch his breathBefore walking over to us. I felt my mother’s anxiety when she realized I did not have the scent that I should. That was when she realized that Dean was not my father. missing pieces of her memory coming into place. I tried shaking the memories aw
I was sucked into another memory. One that I could feel was dark. I appeared to be downtown walking with my mom's best friends. “We can walk you home babe.” Christine said to me.“No it’s okay, the pack house is right around the corner.” I replied with a smile. She nodded in agreement and continued to walk down Main Street with our friend Sydney.Turning the corner I shivered as the wind picked up. I knew I could feel my mothers worry that her beta and mother would be pissed at her for walking home by herself.I was pushed away from my thoughts as I saw three figures come out of the shadows. My body instinctively got into a defensive stance. My mothers wolf push forward ready to attack.“Evening Alpha Anna.” A deep voice echoed in the alley.I raised an eyebrow and sniffed the air. The smell of whiskey, lust, and foreigners filled the air. What I wasn’t expecting was Alpha Rowan from the Blood Moon pack coming out of the shadows. He had a cruel look on his face. All of his features d
Before I could take a breath I was rushed back to the present day. I fell back in my chair that had been taken off the floor. taking my hand away from my mothers. Gasping for air. My parents rushed to my sides. “Oh my god, Quinn! Baby what just happened?!” my mother cried, her face paled. I looked around to make sure I was in fact back in the present. “I….I saw…” I couldn’t form the words to tell me mother that I had witnessed her being raped. My mother looked at me in horror and then to my father. “Did you have a vision?”Her voice was shaky. I nodded my head. “I saw them…..I saw them attack you.,..I saw everything.” I stammered trying to make sense of it all. Tears fell from my mothers eyes as she realized what I had just seen. She wrapped me in her arms. I felt my fathers arms wrap around both of us. “I never wanted to see any of that. I am so sorry.” she cried. I just nodded my head. I felt drained. I felt like part of my soul had darkened, tainted by my mothers memories. “Is
My mother had called Thomas to come over and pick me up the next morning. We all agreed that I needed to spend time with him and his pack especially since my 18th birthday was right around the corner. Thomas had mentioned to my mother that he wanted me to attend the pack school on his territory. My mom didn’t protest. I didn’t sleep. Ryan came in to snuggle, upset that I was leaving. I wish I could explain everything to him; however I refused to steal his innocence. The next morning I finished packing some of the essentials in some bags. I saw him pull up in his black suv. Beta Sam sat in the passenger seat. Anxiety started to plague me. Was this a good idea? I didn’t know how to feel knowing what he did.I stood on the front porch with some of my bags next to me. He gave me a sad smile and instead of giving me a hug like he usually did, he picked up my bag and swung it over his shoulder.“Hey kiddo, you ready?” Thomas asked. I could tell he was nervous. My mother walked onto the po
—-I spent the day unpacking. Thomas let me be as I got settled. I heard him walk up to my door a few times before walking away. What could he say? I knew the truth of what he did. I know he didn’t have any control over the command, but I was still upset. Rachel blew up my phone. Upset that I didn’t say bye to her before I left. I groaned, and fell on bed face first not wanting to deal with more drama. I had enough going on. “Quinn,” Thomas knocked on the door and stepped in. He looked around the room; it looked like a tornado went off in here. I moved my head to the side. “Whats up?” “Well, it looks like you have gotten a lot done.” He teased me. I rolled my eyes as I folded a shirt and stacked it on top of a pile of already folded clothes. He leaned against the dresser closest to the door and ran his fingers through his hair. I looked at him over my shoulder picking up another piece of clothing to fold.“Quinn…. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Please know how incred
