Chapter 9: Quinn

My mother had called Thomas to come over and pick me up the next morning. We all agreed that I needed to spend time with him and his pack especially since my 18th birthday was right around the corner. Thomas had mentioned to my mother that he wanted me to attend the pack school on his territory. My mom didn’t protest.

I didn’t sleep. Ryan came in to snuggle, upset that I was leaving. I wish I could explain everything to him; however I refused to steal his innocence.

The next morning I finished packing some of the essentials in some bags. I saw him pull up in his black suv. Beta Sam sat in the passenger seat. Anxiety started to plague me. Was this a good idea? I didn’t know how to feel knowing what he did.

I stood on the front porch with some of my bags next to me. He gave me a sad smile and instead of giving me a hug like he usually did, he picked up my bag and swung it over his shoulder.
