“Yes,” she whispered.

Max blinked, stunned. “Wait… really?” He let out a short, breathless laugh. “I thought you were going to say no after everything I put you through.” He said stood up and wrapped around her, pulled her close.

Kristen shook her head. “I would have… if you’d asked me a week ago.” She searched his face.

“I’m the luckiest man on earth today.” Max said..“Thank you… Thank you.”

He gazed at her, memorising every detail before slowly leaning in.

Their lips met, soft at first, then it deepened as the world around them faded away.

The waves crashed gently in the background, the cool ocean breeze mixed with the warmth of their bodies. Max’s hands traced the curve of her back and pulled her closer, as if afraid to ever let go.

“Kristen…” he murmured, pressing kisses along her jaw.

She shivered as her fingers threaded through his hair. Every touch, every breath was electric.

Without a word, Max scooped her up effortlessly and carried her toward a hidden spot on the bea
